A game within a game
Not much more can be said about the Witcher 3 that hasn't already been said, it's one of the best open world ARPGs of all time, and with a memorable story to boot! Blood and Wine introduces all the right new elements into the formula and extends your journey as the White Wolf. For the asking price it's easily a 20-30 hours experience, so the value proposition is already in line with that of the base game and Hearts of Stone. Overall this a fantastic closing peace on Geralts adventures.

CDPR is the best
I very rarely get games near release at full price but CDPR is an exception. Take my money and keep on making amazing games ^^ W2 is one of my favorite games of all time, W3 was staggering in scope and polish, and I feel like I robbed someone getting Hearts of Stone for only $10 which was probably the best DLC I ever played. You guys rock! Can't wait to dive into the latest expansion. Heart Of Stone took me about 25 hours to beat not 10.... And I'm guessing this will be closer to 30-50 for me so you guys are way too conservative with your estimates. ....But then again it took me 250+ hours to beat W3 once so maybe I'm just too thorough :P. Damnit I wish I had more time in my life... like a lot more.... so many games I want to replay but I can't even clear my backlog ugggh. ps: please do another W3 dlc/expansion, I'll gladly buy that one too. Please consider it and bring back Iorveth!!!!! He is badly missed :( :D

Sets the bar for DLC quality
This is the most substantial DLC release I think I've ever played. The Duchy of Toussaint is much larger than I expected, and much prettier. The story quest is a lot of fun, the characters are well written and it was pretty cool hearing all the South African accents (I'm South African). There are loads of points of interest around the map to attend to. Geralt's new armour, weapons, mutagen system and home are awesome. The new Gwent cards are a nice addition too. I've clocked nearly 200 hours playing The Witcher 3, its DLC and its mods. Never change CDPR, never change.

IT IS WORTH IT!!!
from what i can gather in the one day i have been playing. the lighting is different and not for the worse. the sun shines all day in the land of love and wine and makes the landscape so much more beautiful. speaking of which the landscape is full of grass rivers and trees and is mostly untouched by civilization, only having a few mediterenian style windmills, reneiscance like houses in the main city (beauclair) and a fairy tale like castle. it was ASTONISHING. the new enemies that i have encountered are pretty interesting and awesome looking and so that i won't spoil anything i will say nothing. the start of the is absolutely awesome and it starts pretty well. for all those people you have played the first game or read all the books you will meet an old friend presumed very much dead. that is all i will say on that matter. cd project red was probably bombarded with demands to put a skellige gwent deck and so far i am not dissapointed. the deck is incredible. it focuses on the cooperation of all the warriors having all an craite warriors gain the tight bond buff and the skellige longships receiving the same buff or the muster buff. also the skellige perk is a real life saver. it summons 2 random cards from the grave and puts them on the table. with the right cards and some luck you can get out of a very heart breaking defeat. the armors so far are very nice and give you that fairy tale feel, the knights doing tasks for their queens, the royal guardsman in golden armor, marvelous. weapons well they are ok but they look similar to vanilla swords which is expected in the land you are in. oh the map is definetely not as big as velen but it is as big as skellige. the new mutation system is really good. you feel so op in the begining if you have invested in signs. trust me. in the end the witcher 3: blood and wine expansion is worth every cent and anyone who likes games with scenic view, fairy tales but also a bit of monster hunting should go ahead and visit toussaint.
