Innovative and refreshing point-and-click delight

I highly recommend this games to the fans of the point-and-click or noir genres. Design: Very refreshing design with the addition of character skills. These are unlocked based on your choices, increasing playability and giving your choices consequences. You can solve some puzzles in different ways based on your skills. I love the notebook, where you can hear comments about key characters or clues. It's in fact crucial on how it keeps you on track, making the game less of a random wandering around, and more of an intentional investigation. Puzzles feel meaningful, and they have a good balance of difficulty. Art: I was not impressed at first about the rather bland art style. However, once I got hooked to the story, it felt fitting to the rest of the game, and I started enjoying it. Sound: The sound effects and music are good, without being overwhelming. I like the understated tone of the soundscape. Voice overs well produced. Dialogs flow smoothly. Some side characters can sound a little lifeless. I wish the option for Scandinavic audio with English subs was included, because the Eng. VO feels a bit too "American". Story: The murder case is quite interesting and filled with lots of twists. The post-AI setting feels authentic. Surrounding philosophical concepts are thought provoking, but can feel a little tedious at times. Overall, the story sucks you in and does its job. Technical: Never encountered a bugs. Everything felt smooth. A negative is the lack of resolution and full-screen.windowed settings. Overall: Buy this game, it's worth it. It's the natural evolution of 2D point and click adventures I'd like to see more of. It's contributing to the genre in a parallel way to Detroit: Become Human, in terms of game mechanics and player choices. I'd love to see another game in this universe. Note to the devs: For the love of AI, please don't make another character who speaks as much and as futile as Valter again!

Unique

I think this game is amazing. I personally enjoyed the forensic aspect of the game and personally would have enjoyed more of it. Though I understand these types of games are usually either story driven or puzzle drive and I'm still happy with the story driven focus. I think it's really amazing how the personality spectrum plays into the game and how there are many different ways to solve a puzzle depending on what powers you develop based on the spectrum. In my experience the personality aspect usually only affects dialogue and there is always the same solution to a puzzle no matter what choices you make. So you can see how this is revolutionary to me. A truly fantastic game. The twists really caught me by surprise or I figured them out but didn't want to believe they were true. I definitly reccomend the game whether you are a regular to P&C games or not.

Interesting but falls short here & there

It's an interesting game whose biggest strength is the different augmentations that you'll have access, that can vary with the path you choose and that introduce a cool innovative feature. The puzzles were also quite good, very logical. Regarding the story, it was fine but I failed to connect to the characters and I found them a bit dull. The most negative aspect for me was the soundtrack that failed completely in creating immersion. Also the ending (at least the one I chose) was quite poor, I was even surprised it ended when it did... Expect an average length game between 6-9 hours I would rate it 3,5 if I could. Favorite games to help assert how lookalike our opinions could be: Gabriel Knight II - Blade Runner - Sanitarium - Black Mirror II - The Longest Journey - Gemini Rue

Pretty solid adventure

Can't honestly think what to say about this game what others havn't already. It is a nicely paced story for about 5-6 hours and you can play it in different ways depending on your choices. Doesn't really add that much, since the story is 99% the same, but it is a neat gimmick. You can just speedrun it in a couple of hours after first playthrough and try different approach to puzzles. It's not that short. What, you think Monkey Island would be a 20-hour game without moon logic?
