Still broken on Windows 10
I tried using both the GOG installer and offline installer and the game does not start. Please look into this

First of many warhammers i will play.
Got wrapped up in the SM2 hype i said why not try the first out before playing the second and i am glad i did. Game is still solid 13 or so years on. €9.95 at the time of purchase too which is great compared to some games now. Highly reccomend to anyone and especially to anyone whos a Gears of War fan.

Fantastic game, still holds up today!
40k Space Marine still holds up today, its unfogiving and crutal 3rd person FPS. The story is mianly told via cutseens and audio logs will fill in every blank and all your questions. It's a game you just cant stop playing. Its challenging and rewardgin with a steady increase in defficulty and only a few spikes along the way. As a note, if you crash on Windows 11 (at a very specific point with a white flash) set the game to Windows 7 compatability mode and you'll stop crashing.

Fun Shooter if you can start it
I run in to the Problem of not starting at all because of having more than 8 cores There is a fix for it https://github.com/adrian-lebioda/SpaceMarineCoreFix Found it via Steam https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2023164262 But if I buy it on GOG i expect the fix be part of the game. (keeping old games alive???) Then I also needed to run the game with admin rights. --> 1 Star removed The Game itself is a 4/5, simple solid story. Hast a lot of fun parts, slashing orks and later chaos, i don't like it if you can't jump at all and the limitations of only 4 weapons would have loved to rotate through the whole arsenal.

Runs great, plays better!
After playing through Space Marine 2, I decided to go back and play the original and was happy to find it here for FAR cheaper than the Anniversary Edition on Steam. The game holds up quite well and plays great. That being said, I had to go into my Nvidia Control Panel and manually limit the framerate to 60fps as if it's allowed to run as fast as it can, it was causing black screens after the first in-game cutscene. Played it on a 7800x3d with a 4090 and Windows 10.
