Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate

I wish the game worked because Chaos Gate actually looks like a very cool game, but it doesn't work with modern PC's, so this game needs to be taken down and worked on until it actually WORKS and people can play without issue. I feel like I got scammed out of $10 and they know it doesn't work because reviews go as far back as 2015 saying it doesn't work right. Even the "support" offered to fix the game doesn't work so there's another scam to deal with after your money has already been taken for this. It really is too bad the people who run the site won't actually take the game down to fix it, just goes to show how much they don't care I guess. If I could do less than one star I would because this a lie, I'm not poorly reviewing the game, I saw game play and it looked very good and I would enjoy it very much. I'm poorly reviewing the people who sell the games and their lack of care about the products they're selling people and if they work or not as long as they get your money from you.

I buy games from GOG precisely because I don't want the hassle and frustration of trying to monkey around and find patches and special settings to get games to run. This game doesn't meet the bar. I get the opening sequence, the first mission briefing, and the ability to outfit my squad, but the game crashes when I try to start the first mission. For folks that can get it running from what I can see it looks like a pretty decent game.

Look guys, I get that it crashes and you want to serve a Buyer Beware warning, but I wish you all would leave these "1 star till its fixed!" reviews on the iTunes store where they belong. Leaving reviews this way skews the rating, and makes the whole system worthless. Review the game for the game. If you’re having technical problems, take that crap to the support forum where it belongs and maybe mention it in the body of your review. Besides, when has GOG not come through on fixing one of these decrepit games, or at least made good on refunds?

Loved this game way back when - bit buggy but hopefully GOG sorts that out as they normally do. Have to wait till payday to try GOG's version. Like Xcom but 40K - if you love either 40k or Xcom style strategy, it's a insta-buy.

wow, finally Chaos Gate is on GoG, I hope they have fixed all those bugs of the original version... I don't even remenber how I fixed the cultist laser crash on my computer (I did, a loooong time ago) But, I see gog says the game is single player, does that mean the multiplayer doesn't work? that's the only thing that would make me buy the gog version, the multiplayer mode. for those who never played it: the game was really cool, but there were a lot of bugs (never found out how to move that stupid Land speeder...) the story itself is really cool, the gameplay is unique, the difficulty is here, musics are great. If gog managed to fix those bugs, just buy it! one great game back at the time Games Workshop was not corrupted by Chaos and destroying its universe like W40k (I've headaches just thinking about what they've done in the V6...)
