As the millenium draws to a close, a malevolent cult of the Fallen lurks in the shadows and sewers of Union City...waiting. Their unholy mission is to fulfill an ancient prophecy of apocalypse. Crime and subversion are their tools to wrest control of the city. Now gangas, hardened criminals, and violent cultists roam the streets looking for trouble to cause. As D’Arci Stern, a tough as nails UCPD rookie cop, you use her martial arts prowess and infiltration skills to unlock the diabolical intentions of the Fallen cult. Her only ally in an unfair fight against criminality is Roper, UCPD informant and ex-Special Forces grunt. Obsessively driven to purge the world of the Fallen menace, Roper speaks softly but carries a big shotgun.
Urban Chaos throws you feet first into the cold, corrupt heart of a modern urban jungle at the turn of the millenium. To succeed you’ll need a deadly combination of stealth, physical agility, and martial arts skills as you interact with the city around you. Complete freedom to explore every area is granted and this freedom extends to gameplay - the future is in your hands as you fight to reclaim your city from the madness of the Fallen cult.
Interact with a vast living city teeming with citizens - you can choose to assist NPC's to gain both information and new weapons.
Multiple modes of combat and action including hand-to-hand fighting, heavy weaponry attacks, vehicle chases and building shoot-outs.
Each street has random event scripting. For one mission, a street may be filled with holiday shoppers. For the next mission, a major gun battle between cops and a gang might be in full swing.

I'm really sorry to write something like this because the game ist Awesome and what you did before was awesome to but no you can play this game anymore on a modern Win 10 PC and this is not the only one many games i played before on Win 10 dosent work anymore. I rellay loved your that you make old games on modern system but there are no support anymore and the games are dying here. So please fix that up. I loved gog to play the golden old games and not seem that they dosent work anymore.
Often described as an early precursor to GTA 3, Urban Chaos has one play as a young female cop tasked with fighting crime. While the game takes place in a large open city, it is mission-based, so you don't get to traverse the entire city at any point. The basic gameplay loop consists of going somewhere and either killing or arresting bad guys. Occasionally, you also get to drive around, but since the cars control horribly, you'll be glad to be on foot.
Unfortunately, the game is marred by a plethora of issues and weird design choices. For instance, there is no music in the game, except when sprinting. Why does music play only when you sprint, and why is it always the same track? Then there is a mechanic where every 20 seconds, a mugger will get spawned and seek out your location to beat you up. Why? Unclear, and it is simply annoying having to deal with dudes that track you relentlessly even across roofs all the time.
Speaking of roofs, instead of pursuing mission objectives you'll often find yourself going across roofs to find powerups, which are hidden all across town. These provide permanent stat boosts, which you definitely need to survive against the tougher foes. The problem is that the controls are clunky and imprecise, making these jumping parts more annoying than anything. And to add insult to injury, you cannot save during missions. More often than not, you'll be picking up stuff and fending off muggers for ten minutes only to die during the actual mission, requiring one to restart the entire level. Not fun.
The game has a certain charm to it, and I like both the setting and the colorful graphics, but my patience was wearing thin rather quickly with all the design flaws the game has. Add the fact that graphical issues such as missing textures are frequent, and you'll quickly wish to be playing something else instead.
Urban Chaos! Has been years since me and my pals play it in a forgotten pc during my middle school's hours and, thanks to GoG, I managed to enjoy it again... and with a more seasoned viewpoint, it's an ok game.
Basically, it could be considered as a precursor of GTA (III, so the first 3d one) but divided in mission, so the dev. could use the same map but change it depending on the need.
Speaking about gameplay, it does have those lovely 'tank' controls (which unironically, are a favourite of mine) and some section where you can drive around using cars, but as for the rest, is dead simple: run, fight, shoot, kill (or arrest, you are still technically a cop).
Besides that, story starts slow paced (a little too much) and with some unexpected (but not necessarily unwanted) twist, while soundtrack is mostly on point and graphics did age badly but still hold some charm to them.
So, is the game worth it? mmmm yes, but I admit that the game does overstay its welcome and it is not that well-polished. But it does also have that 90's vibe so you can give it a pass.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
