Quite interesting, but can get tedious

Im somewhat on the fence about this one. It is an interesting metroidvania, has deep RPG mechanics, nice 2d style and plenty of places to explore. The story and humour here are very much for nerds. Can be crude. If you are not using a controller, you will probably not like the controls. Even then not everything is smooth. I havent played that much, but I already encountered situations where I need to backtrack a lot, run around back and forth and even do some grinding. There are elements of trial and error as well. Its interesting, has a lot of charm in its style, but its not for everyone. Those who like old school and can handle some tedium will enjoy it.

Decent little game

It's a decent little game but there are a few problems with it. Why are the characters so tiny on the screen? It looks like a little ant in an ant colony. Second no native controller support. You have to go through a mapping utility and map the keyboard controls and even then, it doesn't feel quite right. Pushing up to jump? Who came up with this bright idea? Every time I try to push up to go up a ladder, if I'm not perfectly under it, my character ends up jumping. Like I said, who came up with this not so bright idea? Third, the characters are pretty unlikable and the humor is very dry and unwitty.

Almost perfect?

I'm having a blast playing this game, for a lot of reasons. But I just can't get past the HORRENDOUS dialogue and constant incorrect spelling of words. I understand the game has been translated, but surely the creator could have found someone to do a better job with the translation. Other than that, this game is AWESOME.

One of the best games

This game is must play if you like old school gems like Maze of Galious. In fact this game I believe was highly inspired by MoG. It is often brutal like most 'old schools', but very rewarding and a good fun. Pity it is finished now. If you going to play it then prepare to die... a lot. :)

great game, only a couple of complaints

I really enjoyed this game. The controls were more than satisfactory, the character customization was varied enough to allow many ways to play through the game, and the bosses were enjoyable and required thought to find an ideal approach to defeating them. The only things that I could think of to improve this game would be a bit less over-the-top immaturity in the humor, and more subtlety in the references. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes platformers and/or role playing games, and I'm hoping that the developer releases something new sometime soon.
