Two worlds was MUCH better, sadly enough

The good: Outstanding Graphics.. Great character/skill/spell development.. The Expansion.. There's an outstanding Mod done by little Neil at the Main forums that rivals even the excellent expansion! ...Uhh, that's about it... The Bad: Sound: The voicework was horrific, like they hired the kitchen staff from McDonalds..While the music itself was...Meh.. Story: Didn't know as I didn't play much of it to even care about it, plus it got lost in the mundane side-quests.. Setting/Game World: You spent the near entirety of this bore-fest on a deserted wasteland in the desert...Literally, while the most gorgeous part of the main map was cut off from single players and instead used for the multiplayer mode instead, the worse part, you can still see it not only on the map but in the actual game as well, WTF!? Conclusion: There are only 3 reasons why you should purchase this game... One, If you are a hard-core game collector, and you need to complete the series..(Like Myself) Two, To download, install and play "Version 1.4a of Worldmerge" mod by Little Neil! Three, The expansion, which you need anyways to play Little Neil's mod! Otherwise do yourself a favor, and don't waste any money on this game, unless it's under $5.00/€4.38 specifically if it's on gog!

Recommendable fantasy roleplaying gem

After the long main part of two worlds II I couldn't get through three missions of the DLC flying fortress after 5 1/2 hours of in game time of this DLC. You can use codes in the main menu to reset or finish missions, but I am not interested in beta testing a more than 8 years old DLC and therefore I deleted two worlds II from my hard disk. I will skip the other DLCs like Tenebrae. Two worlds I was superb due to his open world feeling. You can go everywhere you want. In two worlds II you will be babysitted everywhere you go. Videos are popping up here and there because good games need endless video material with spoken language. I found the story line boring like the desert landscape or the dark dungeons you will see most of the time. The music is not worth mentioning. The publisher was promoting his ingenious magic system. You can build you own magic spells with cards. Sounds good? Bad executed and not really spectacular. Why then 4 stars? The mix of melee combat and using spell attacks brought a lot of fun and the collecting mania worked.

Better graphics, but worse a game

Something is really off with this game. Everything feels awkward and stilted. As other reviewers have said, the combat doesn't connect, the dialogue is just bad and there were also allegations of the developers attempting to 'fix' reviews upon release. Beware!

Jank of the boring kind

I refunded the game only a few hours into it, I'm not gonna say it doesn't get better but I heavily doubt it does. The story, characters and their presentation couldn't be more generic in an uninspired way. Bad guy wants to start a nondescript apocalypse, Prophet immediately says you're the chosen one and all the characters you interact with are either Orcs or barely dressed women (Not that I have anything against spicy characters but it says a lot about how lazy their team is when all the female bodies, including MC's sister, are the exact same). I'm pretty sure the BBEG's armor is just from Oblivion's Mythic Dawn and everything else is Unity asset store material. I'd give more examples about the story and voice acting but I can't remember them, again, it's not so bad it's fun it's just bad. The camera and control mapping is awful, imagine Gothic but it doesn't make sense even after learning the controls, the mouse has acceleration that can't be toggled off. The game has 3 classes with somewhat of a stealth subclass, Archer, Warrior and Mage, all of them are clunky when moving and transitioning between animations. Archer aims automatically, the 3 active skills are interesting but 3 skills on a cooldown aren't enough to keep the game fun, you're gonna be spamming Lclick a lot. Warrior's fairly similar, spam Lclick to attack and hold Rclick to block, there's no dodging or movement while doing all that and blocking has no timing and enemy combos are damn long so you just hold block for half a minute then spam attack for another 30s. Warrior's skills are instant AoE's with different seasonings, no thought to using them. Mage's has something going for it, feels no better than the others in a fight but there's a deep Spellcrafting system which feels like a mix between Morrowind and Tyranny. Exploration and encounter desing are, once again, poor, loot is locked behind levels so there's no point in exploring areas ahead of the story and enemies are just... standing.

Not worth 7$

Did not even play. Really wanted too as well? When I tried to Play the Literal "Play" button wasn't even working. Not worth if GoG won't even work for a decade old game.
