I AM TUROK!

The charm of Turok is in his console level design, the level design may remind of platform games like Medievil, you even get lifes solve easy puzzles and get some temporary new abilities. The enemies react to your gun shot based on the part you shot, so get ready for lots of blood, dismembering and satisfying death animations as almost every weapon impact is glorious! Don't get this game to finished it, get it to enjoy the gore as you kill lizard people.

Multiplayer options Missing

As the tittles says, there is plenty of things for MP absent. Maps from the N64 and PC, switch map textures. character speed, able to use cheat codes in MP. Other than that, a solid 90's FPS. I prefer Turok 1.

Runs Great with Core 2 Duo!

Despite what is states in the System Requirements, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil runs just fine with a Core 2 Duo (E8600 3.33GHz) processor. Loved Turok 2 on my brother's old N64 back in 1999, so this PC reboot was a must buy. Fog is gone! You can see waaaaay across the areas you're playing in. Animations are much more fluid, with enemy movements and death throws appearing leopard like. The inclusion of anytime saving is a godsend. The inclusion of objectives markers is equally welcome. My only gripe is there being no multiplayer, which Nightdive states they're working on. All-in-all, Turok 2 is worth the $20 price tag, and looks to add more value once multiplayer is added. Played on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M58: Core 2 Duo 3.33GHz (1333MHz FSB, 6MB L2 cache, 65W fan). Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Nvidia GT 720 (900MHz) low-profile graphics. 6GB RAM.

Well done remaster for Turok fans

I'll begin by saying that the remastering is done well and the upgraded engine gives the game a nice face lift. On my high-end rig I had no trouble keeping a stable 60 fps even with everything turned on. The controls felt responsive and the game only crashed once during my playthrough. The game itself turned out to be bit of a disappointment. Even though the first couple of levels aren't that bad, the level design takes a pretty noticeable hit in quality as you progress further. They get very repetitive and maze-like to the point that unless I was looking at the map, I had a difficult time keeping track of places I had already been to and where I actually needed to go. Be prepared for long grinds through identical looking corridors while you search for the next item or switch required to progress. Did I mention that the enemies respawn? If you look past the unfortunate issues with level design, Turok 2 is a pretty standard 90's FPS. There's not much of a plot to speak of, but I guess that would just get in the way of, you know, watching an alien getting its brains drilled out by a cerebral bore.

Incredible, ahead of its time!

I can't believe how good it still is, holds up and even better than many modern shooters. The enemy design, detailed interactive animations and advanced AI are constantly surprising. Buy now, especially on sale!
