very good game
For a game from 2013 it blew my mind.. With all the settings on ultra it doesnt even look bad at all. Very good game!

Pretty good for 2013
I have loved Tomb Raider since the beginning, except the fact that it is 3rd person. I am old school (computers before Windows or DOS existed), and HATE 3rd person, and this is made for consoles (curse be upon them). The quick action parts are extremely annoying too, but that isn't new. (I am still looking for button 0 on my mouse .. ?!?, which it keeps telling me to push). The graphics are done very well for the time period, even the hair was done better than most games this day and age.. Have been able to run it on Linux (using Lutris), no problems unless I ALT-TAB out and take more than a minute or 2, which it locks up. It actually runs smoother on Linux than Windows for me. Of course most of the games I run on Linux run smoother than Windows, lol. Overall, good game with a bit of frustration sometimes.

A landmark experience.
This game is a landmark experience, blurring the lines between game and cinema in a good way. The game is savage, really selling the hardships, and trauma Lara Croft has to endure. Combat has weight to it, and the "AI" of the opponents is decent. Some good viceral stealth kills, limb damage to opponents and "finishers" The combat is satisfying. As far as raiding tombs, there are a few veiled puzzle areas that can pass as raiding a tomb, but this game is more focused on our titular protagonists origin story.
