Matter of taste
The game shines the most in the disciplines of story and presentation. The graphics were ahead of its time. Gameplaywise though it can be lacking, especially in terms of character-progression and -building. There is only one character you can play and only one playstyle (sword and basic magic), so I would't really call this an Rpg, it is more of a narrative driven open world game. Despite having read all the witcher novels I never really got hooked to it for some reason. Anyway it is of high quality and has a lot to offer contentwise.

It's INSANE, I love this game so much
I love this game so much, got no words, everything is great there: gameplay/story/2D&3D graphics, this game deserves to be included in Game Hall of Fame, If such thing ever existed (like The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, i mean) It gives us hope for a better future

An absolute MASTERPIECE!
As some of my favorite books of all time the games made being in the world of the Witcher ever more incredible. The writers all the way to the story art and gameplay choices are fantastic. Those looking to get into the Witcher world today by picking this game up for $10.00 are in for one of the best games of their life. I have been playing this game since its release and it just gets better and better the more I explore. I cant even count the hours I have into the Witcher world but its too many to admit lol! Whether you are a first timer or looking to come back and play again and dont have a copy of the game anymore its such a good buy just pick it up and get lost in this great piece of lore and wonder. Have fun enjoy the story and explore every detail, you might be suprised what you find even this long after its release!
