Short and Intriguing
A neat look into a historical setting rarely covered in games. The story is well paced and with the level design together makes for some tense scenes.

Decent But Not Great
The game is great at a few things. The lighting is perfect. So many games like this are blinding or weirdly lit. It has some decent puzzles that are not too hard or easy. The controls are smooth and quick to learn. The letters that tell the story are placed so that finding them is part of the story. Picking them up doesn't feel like a task or quest. What it doesn't do is stick with the story that the letters are telling to the end. I assumed that I was there investigating the deaths or disappearances of the winterers. The letter in the tent points to just that. The story suddenly changes for no reason at the end. It made no sense at all. Spoiler Alert: Why would I commit suicide even if I killed the guy in the bed? He was obviously the one who killed the person I found in the bear's den. He removed the handle on the door so that we couldn't get out and seemed to be laying in wait to kill me. If there was supposed to be something else going on then you didn't pull it off. If we were supposed to suddenly realize we were actually the guy that killed his brother then that wouldn't make sense either. The killer lived there and would already know where everything is. He wouldn't have to search for anything. If we commit suicide because of whoever we kill at the beginning of the game then you need to add something that shows our character is remorseful for doing it and make that murder a bigger part of the story. It really feels like you decided at the last second to stick the suicide in there so that you could say your game deals with the topic. This game has nothing to do with suicide in spite of the fact that there is one at the end.

NIE działa na MACOS. Not works at MacOS!
Krytykuje gog.com. Sprzedają tą grę jako działającą pod systemem MacOS, a okazuje się, że NIC nie działa. Da sie tylko uruchomić i zobaczyć ekran początkowy -na nic innego gra nie reaguje. Critics to gog.com. they sold that game as compatible with MacOs, and dfinally NOTHING works. It's only possible to run main screen -thats all rest not response at all.

Very low fps
On my Windows 10 system with a Threadripper processor and an RTX 1050 Ti even with lowest settings (but 1920x1080 settings) whenever I move the mouse it gets stuck on a very very low fps. When looking at the task manager during gameplay it looks like the load on the GPU is the issue. Interestingly the game starts by default in 1024x768 in windowed mode, but for a game released in the 21st century that's definitely not enough. I really wanted to like this, especially since it seems to be inspired by Scratches from the interface obviously, but I just can't play it like it is.
