Old School but Fun
You have to remember this is a game from the 90s. There is som compatibility jank, and the game itself is perhaps harder than it should be, but the game is fun and the story is intresting. Absolutly worth checking out. (Also fun is messing with the old cheat codes, which also still work!)

decent shooter
Overall a good game, very good start with great ambience, interesting level design, enemies are not brain dead, magic variety is interesting although not every magic is useful and story is good. However at times it feels like a very rushed game, later levels can get repetitive with tons of identical enemies(still nowhere as bad as some other FPS with their endless backtracking and scripted enemy respawns) and the last level is just a "boss rush" in previous levels without a true final boss; in other context that could even be an interesting design choice, but the way its done makes you wonder if the devs didn't simply ran out of time.

Didn't run that well
It was just a bit fiddly getting it to run well consistently and then when I reinstalled it to get back to default settings my saves wouldn't show up even though I backed them up and put them back in the save folder, they never showed up in the game. Anyway, I'm sure for some it ran fine out of the box, and that any issues I have were fixable, but even though it's a fun little game it wasn't worth the effort for me to try to get it to run well. But again, I'm 100% sure that for many, even most people, it runs to their satisfaction out of the box. I just wanted to improve the resolution and stuff, and I wasn't installing mods or anything, but just trying to consistently get a high resolution, use windowed mode, and basic things like that was causing problems, making videos not play, I alt-tab out once and it's over, I could never get it to show up again. " just don't alt-tab then" well the problem is that it's instinctual, so I would do it and then instantly be like DAMN IT. So for me it just didn't work that well. I'm sure there are people who didn't have any issues so I'm not saying that these are 100% universal problems that will affect everyone. "You're just too stupid to run the game." sure, maybe, for me it was too hard to get it to run the way I wanted in terms of using higher resolutions and anti-aliasing and stuff. Maybe I'm just too stupid or I should just accept it coming in at the default 800x600 or whatever. I did play 5 hours or so of the game, so it's not like I wasn't able to play it, I was able to play it, I just wanted to use some settings which are supported by the game, but it just was finicky and I didn't enjoy it after a while, especially once my saves disappeared even though they were still right there in the save folder. "That save thing is easy to fix, ur just stupid and lazy." MAYBE! maybe I'm stupid, but whatever, I'm saying that if you want to use alt-tab and higher resolutions and have all the effects which are innately supported by the game, if you want all that working, and your saves disappear and you are "stupid" like I apparently am, then I'm just saying, you might not like it, and it's not like it's an all time great, so it might not be worth it, that's all I'm saying. Jesus Christ, is there always really a need to make fun of and attack someone even if I am stupid? I'm just saying, for my tastes and low level of intelligence, it wasn't my cup of tea.

Great Game, Poorly Optimized
Based on just the game alone, this would be an easy 4 out of 5. Unfortunately on newer PCs, the cutscenes will not play at all and I experienced a lot of crashes and technical bugs. Definitely worth struggling through if, like me, you are a fan of old school shooters and the Wheel Of Time series, but probably not worth the effort of troubleshooting these issues for anyone who doesn't fit those qualifications.
