does it justice
the original settlers 2 was awesome, and with the updated graphics in this version they did a fantastic job, the only real dissapointment for me were minor details they missed, for example when soldiers ranked up in the original they would fight differently and you could see they were more skilled, it made the battles much better to watch, sadly because its missing, the battles are a bit bland in comparison on the new version.

Awesome game
I originally purchased it back when it first came out. Loved playing it and I am hoping they are going to update the game so I can play it on Win 7, 8, and 10. They would have to make it playable on 32 bit and 64 bit systems. I really miss being able to play it since getting the newer OS's it will not play on. There is an issue with the com files. If you are not going to update the game then at least give us the com files and some files that will allow us to load it onto the newer OS's. It will not even load on Win10 and I think I remember having the same issue on Win7. I love this game and hope you will revamp it so it works on the newer systems, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pretty PLEASE.

After so many years, still the best one
This edition is the best in the entire franchise to me. It stays true to it's original DNA from the very first Setllers but with enhanced graphics and a very challenging campaign with great replay value. Unfortunately ever since Ubisoft took over Settlers, no other game that came after offered the same game play and atmosphere. The graphics still > many other games that are developed almost 20 years later and the music is simply stunning and beautiful. I'm one of the lucky few to get my hands on the Vikings expansion, including English voice over. The Viking campaign is a lot tougher but equally fun to play and replay over and over again. Now just waiting for Pioneers of Pagonia to be released, which tries to go back to the roots of the Settlers series; something Ubisoft failed to deliver.
