Opis
The second title in the UM series is a fully upgraded version of KOF 2002, a masterpiece of the KOF series deserving of a place honor along with KOF ’98. Based on THE NESTS CHRONICLES, this title includes the most characters of any title in KOF history. All graphics and background music have been completely redone and the game balance has also been extensively redesigned. New moves have been added and others have been brought back, meaning that players can enjoy battling it out for longer than ever.

Good but has flaws
The good: lots of characters, lots of game modes, practise mode with move lists. The bad: while musik and backgrouds are updatet the sprites are not, in 1080p backgroud looks really nice but sprites show big pixels. Archievements will not count when playing offline. neutral: picture is 4:3 with added backround for the 16:9 view in fights. For 3-4 Euros its nice to have for the added online vs mode.

I fell the CPU rivals more easy
The only two or three things I want is a harder CPU level and a combos guide, this would go a long way in making the game easier, and more interesting. Even so I consider that it is an essential of the saga along with Kof 98.

A Must Buy For KOF Fan
Being a fan of the series, in my humble opinion this is one of the most complete experiences. There's a lot of move sets to practice with tons of characters. Although I don't have anyone to play with nor I have tried online, mostly playing against the CPU from time to time is still fun. There's no story but I find the game to be quite replayable with endless mode, singeplay, teamplay and challenge. Nevertheless, the nostalgic trip was already worth getting it, but if you are a first-time buyer if the old graphics don't bother you or you are a retrogamer, then I assure you this is easily one of the best fighting games in existence.

They finaly got it right.
I previously purchased KOF 2k2 and was very upset cause it would only work with keyboard. But this time they got it right. KOF 2k2 UM is an improvement over the other. I just used an 8BitDo M30 bluetooth game pad and it works! If you're looking to get a decent port of KOF 2k2 on GOG it's this one. Also their is online multiplayer, but I haven't found anyone to play with ATM. Maybe I'll see YOU online. NOW WHO WANT'S TO FIGHT!
