Partially recommended
Plot, characters and voice acting are passable, but storytelling and dialogue are below average. The levels are pretty linear, with the occasional more open area or branching path, so a map is not really needed, but I would've preferred having one regardless. Combat is not very challenging. You can get by with basic attacks/blocks/dodges, at least on normal difficulty (which is what I played). I liked the "Witcher senses"-like mechanic for detecting traps and tracking. The random finishers you can get at the end of a fight were fun too. I've seen some people say that this game is so bad that it's good, but I wouldn't agree to that. It's just a mediocre hack 'n slash game with some fun moments here and there. It might be worth checking out at a discount.
