Unacceptable.

Played the Linux version. The default shortcut it creates launches the game from the .x86 executable, which forces fullscreen, prevents me from interacting with the menu, or even my firewall which pops up to warn me it's attempting to dial out. Manually launching from the .x86_64 executable provides a launcher with windowed/fullscreen and resolution options and I can interact with the menus at that point. The game is way too loud by default. There are only volume and control settings and you will have to reset them every time you start the game, and you will have to restart the game several times because random NPCs crash the game when you speak to them. Speaking with NPCs is necessary to progress, so yeah, you're just rolling the dice on whether or not you make progress or the game CTDs and forces you to turn down the volume and rebind your keys all over again. And no, of course you can't have Reload and Interact on the same key because that would be too convenient.

I recommend it is an Indie Short. The only detail would be to play it in English because in Spanish the translation is a bit strange.

Pretty good,besides the story

Aside from certain gameplay elements that were a bit too tacky for me at least and the story having the most confusing bs ending of all time,the game's pretty good for it's 5-6 hours of gameplay. You are a conductor and your task is to carry passengers through this semi post-apocalyptic world in a train. Every stop you make you have to get out and gather supplies in destroyed cities such as bullets,health packs etc for your passengers and yourself. The combat while pretty simple (you have a kick and a weapon) is pretty satisfying and the enemies can go from the typical walking shambleer to brutes an sprinters. The idea behind this world was very intriguing to me at least.Too bad the story ends in a not very sweet note. But anyways The Final Station is a game that while it's not gonna be a classic any time soon,is a pretty decent time waster and certainly worth the price it's asking for.

Could have been good, but isn't.

An interesting world with nice pixel art that fails when it comes to mechanics and engaging storytelling. Pros: + music + pixel art + interesting idea + just managing to scrape by on resources Cons: - game fights you to learn the story as you will hemorrhage limited resources and let your train break down if you stop to try and listen to anything anyone is talking about on your train. - there is no tutorial - no consequence for letting your passengers die other than you get less money - only 4 types of enemies - game can easily be cheesed and in some cases you have to. -game needed another pass of a word editor as grammar is terrible. - save points are ambiguous so you can quit the game only to find yourself a long distance back, meaning the only safe time to quit is to beat a level in its entirety.
