Excellent execution on a classic series
Finally a 3d adventure game with a camera angle that works and artwork that looks great!

Game /w a bit of a movie vibe
The only problem that I had was that there was a need for lengthy explanations. It was as if the writers knew the player would be confused, if there wasn't any elongated jibber-jabber. To much speech leaves the player thinking, "Am I playing a game or watching a movie?!" Be prepared! On a happier note, Marquis DeSinge was hilarious to watch.

Disappointing but playable
Let's start by saying I LOVE the MI series, including MI4. I finally got around to playing Tales and I so badly wanted it to be as good as the other games, but it is nowhere near. Let's start with the animation choices - it's so childlike and cringey, not to mention that many different characters look exactly the same. Voice acting - Dom is great as usual. LeChuck seems to have a new voice that didn't do it for me, and it was painfully obvious that the Voodoo Lady was voiced by a white woman. In terms of game play, there were some good enjoyable puzzles. I think what has bothered me the most is that it's just lacking that fun and humour that you get in the other MI games. On top of that, there is a whole bunch of new magical elements and magical creatures that just don't seem to match with the voodoo magic we see in the other MI games. Sadly, I doubt I will be replaying it, but I'm still pleased I gave it a shot.
