1. There are various classes, and you can change classes without disadvantage, allowing you to utilize various strategies.
2. Although there are limitations to SRPG (Tactical RPG), the stages are structured in various ways.

1. A slightly weak story, a slightly loosely connected story.
2. Boring and flat effect based on 2D dot graphics.
3. The characters are diverse, but the balance of abilities is not accurate.

When I bought the game I made mention of two strange bugs in the gog version of my original review a few days later the devs fixed both and so I had that review deleted to remake this.
If your like me who was looking for a fire emblem where you get to manage the individual foot soldiers in squadrons along side heroes who lead them rather than just have a few individual unites take on entire armies on the battlefield or the general troops being relegated to background imagery during fight animations this is the game for you.

A lot of people say this game is similar to Fire Emblem and Ogre Battle (SNES). While this is certainly true, I felt some stronger resemblance to the old SNES game Bahamut Lagoon.
Yes, the game has some stuff that is not up to certain standards, but the core gameplay works great and is a lot of fun. I especially liked the direction they tried to go with the story.
I played the game on Steam, and I really enjoyed it.
I highly recommend the game. It's like a fire emblem clone with a surprisingly deep army management portion. Basically every soldier in your squad is a person who you can level up, promote, and equip. I think that's by far the best part of the game.
The actual tactics and "anime chess" is pretty good, fairly similar to fire emblem style games. I don't think there's much depth to the tactical location or placement of characters/squads, but rather it's a way to put your army management to task.
I wouldn't call it the deepest story, but it's not bad. Kind of a political fantasy, but there's not much for the player does to interact with that story. There's a support system, but I don't think the player has much impact on it as well, rather it's based on the story. Not the deepest characters either, but there's still a lot of charm.
If you're interested in fire emblem style games, I think this is one of the best that captures the experience I personally had with 3DS fire emblem games. Don't expect the polish of a AAA title, but the game runs well and has a lot to offer.
Here's hoping the developer only improves in their later games!
Very solid gameplay with nice art style. Especially the sprites are really good.
I finished the game on normal difficulty and the balance was mostly good. The main challange came from trying to finish the bonus objectives and not the main quest itself as your squads can become very powerful, especially later in the game. Couple of missions can be very hard if you dont know what the enemy is bringing.
The squad management system works well with several units but is a bit clunky when you have +9 squads and try to manage traits on all the units.
Story is your average fantasy setting with some nice twists and it does its job of giving reason to change of scenery. I liked how the main story scenarios flowed logically and there isnt much teleporting around the map. The character relationships felt a little tacked on as they didnt have too much affect on the main story.
All in all I give this game 5/5 as the core gameplay is very good and i look forward to how the studio can improve it in the future.
