Opis
The United States is a nightmareland of toxic waste, melted ice caps, and desperate shortages of oat bran. Horrible mutations roam the countryside... monsters spawned of radiation, environmental toxins, and unregulated bio-engineering. But in a tiny corner of New Jersey, a small group of Superheroes has banded together. Lead a hilarious band of superheroes on a dangerous quest to defeat the evil Doctor Entropy. Select from League members including Tropical Oil Man (can raise opponent's cholesterol level), Zaniac (the power to confuse) and Captain Excitement (puts animals to sleep).

2nd rate heroes, 1st rate fun!
While most of the jokes are a little dated with regard to culture, the jokes making fun of Superheroes in general and comic book heroes in particular are as timely as ever with all the Marvel Movie Madness happening. The interface is a bit clunky coming form last century, but overall the system works well.

Forever Classic
You will need a basic guide to get through it so you are not wondeing around aimlessly and I mean basic as most solutions to problems are simply "go to this sector to pick up x item for y solution" however it has elements that improve over other RPG experiences. LIMITED Random encounters. Each sector has only so many badies before it is emptied and you are free to roam. That alone is a huge plus. I have yet to find any way to soft lock the game like many adventure games generally have. Major gripe is a lot of key items are simply bought in villages, so unlike a lot of adventure games there isn't any pixel hunting, just running to point a to b to c to solve the puzzle in a sort of thing which is also good in the sense you won't be racking your brain over anything but without the puzzle element you wouldn't be spending much time in hoboken. There is some nostalgia goggles here but thing is you won't find many games like this that are functional and stick out more compared to the usual games that are repeatedly promoted as classics. There are very few interactive stories that have such a tongue in cheekness about them. It's too risky now to spend 50 million and 5 years on a "funny video game" I say 3/5 stars is worth playing so take that for what it is.

Superheroic Silliness
One of the wackiest games of the '90s, SLH is a riot of in jokes and silly combat. Beware, though, the missions get quite involved later in the game. If you get frustrated, there are several walkthroughs available online.
