Stranglehold

I played the game back in the day, and when replaying the GOG version almost 20 years later was surprised how good it still holds up. It's a solid over-the-top and in-your-face shooter with a couple of abilities to make the hero stand out. The graphics are of course a bit dated but still do the job well. The set pieces are varied and support their respective mood well. Your gun never needs to reload, just like in a Hong Kong action movie. You can run out of ammo though, so the game encourages you to switch between weapons from time to time. Getting John Woo and Chow Yun Fat on board adds a sense of style that makes it stick out from other, similar games. If you are into the genre of pure action shooters, you should give this a try.

Long time ago i saw that game in CD-Action and i knew i will get that game. Times past and i forgot about herso when i saw this game on GOG i had to get it . I was expecting asian MAX PAYNE and this is that kind of game. Why i put 4 stars ? Because it is short game- i finish her at 6.5 hour

Jakieś 10 lat temu kupiłem tę w wersji pudełkowej w Biedronce ze 10PLN. Dzisiaj widzę, ze w promocji -75% u Was kosztuje jedyne 11.19 PLN, Wiem, że każdy chce zarobić i obsługa sklepu kosztuje ale chyba nie chcecie powiedzieć, że fizyczne magazynowanie, transport i obsługa fizycznego sklepu kosztuje więcej niż prąd do serwera??

Closer to Wet than Max Payne, but ultimately a bland shooter with a terrible FOV. The gunplay doesn't demand any special moves to survive, the style points don't mean anything, and the plot... exists I guess. I'm glad it's here for preservation, but it's a meh game at best.
