Stranglehold

Game brings me back to the days where games were just aim and shoot, then proceed to the next level. Everything is overly action packed like the movies, just fun ways to kill the enemy. It gets a 4/5 stars since there is no controller support.

I like the time slowing system (tequila time), It reminds me of Max Payne's bullet time. The main thing I don't like are the bosses. They don't really act that different to normal enemies, just with more health and I think they do more damage. Overall though, I recommend it.

The logical outcome of bullet time in third person shooters was always going to be make a hard boiled game and this does it great enviroments that get shredded by bullets destrucble objects you can drop on enemies bullet time you can trigger when you like and some power ups using an energy bar called tequila bomb make for a short but fun all round expierence

Previously played on the Xbox 360. It is one of Midway's greatest game ever made and the poor sales resulted Midway getting bankrupt. Also bad investment with that awful Mortal Kombat vs. DC bull$#!t. They even got actor Chow Yun-Fat as Inspector Tequila Yuen in this game with John Woo collaboration. A fun shooter-Max Payne clone. Which the movie inspired Max Payne to begin with. The only issue I experience is that changing resolution crashed the GOG Launchers which cause the track time to be lost. Seriously, I played this for 8 hours, but the GOG launcher crash because of that. So once you set your resolution either in-game or config, run it once and quit. But then again, it is DRM-FREE, so if you don't want it, then that's fine. You can just launch it straight to "StrangleEngine.exe" and play through it without the client.

I haven't seen the Chow Yun-Fat movies, but after this game, I definitely will. I haven't beaten it yet, but this feels, like playing a hard boiled (hehe) Hong Kong action movie.
