great story but to buggy game
i really want to enjoy the game but unfortunatly the gameplay is to buggy, the load time in unforgivable and when i died the game just stopped working forcing me to restart until they fix the game i cannot recommend the game to anybody

I was honstly disappointed
Let's start with the good: -games looks nice (both graphics and art style) -narrator is amazing -music is good -and the idea to have you trying to find the right choices to lead you to your ultimate destiny by failing again and again is near genius Now the bad: -the game crashed a couple of times and also has stutters from time to time -loading screens are very long -you can't skip 90% of the dialogue even if you heard it 100 times before -gameplay is extremely repetitive, simple and button-mashy...it literally takes no skill after you have all the gems and a few talents, I guess it's made to be fast so you can skip most of it, but that's just bad design IMO -the story feels contrived and has a lot of dodgy moments like: you fight 50 enemies to get to the end of the lvl and the story just ends because you apparently got ambushed by 20 The really bad: -I was infuriated to find that after you discover all the "truths" aka important facts about the items/people in the story the game LITERALLY HOLDS YOUR HAND AND PUSHES YOU TO THE RIGHT ENDING almost by force. you can still make choices but you know they're wrong so why bother? Whats the point of having a game that is based on failing if it just throws the right answer in your face after just a few mistakes (and those mistakes need to be made in order to progress in the first place). for me that was insulting and made me feel like I wasted my money on this...because it just took a dump on the core concept of the game: Getting better and more knowledgeable by failing. I give it 3 stars even if it deserves 2, because it's cheap for what it offers and it does have a lot of potential if they manage to polish the game more and actually make the story/story pieces less contrived and of course, if they actually let the player fail next time and find the pieces of the puzzle on his own rather then hand holding.

Fantastic story and scenery; buggy game
A combination of Dust: An Elysian Tail and Bard's tale the story is fantastic, the game play frenetic and fun and the scenery picturesque and beautiful. All these positive's don't make up for the bugs and lag in this game. Getting stuck in terrain, enemies getting trapped behind wall preventing progression and load times akin to 56k dial up modem era. If your love for a well told story in scenic landscapes, outweigh your intolerance of having to restart a game over and over to get past glitches and bugs, then you'll love this game (truly). If not then perhaps wait until a patch or be prepared to ask for a refund. Caveat emptor.

Control options are horrible.
Could be a nice hack and slash action game but does not allow you to set the controls the way you want. This is a deal breaker for me. There are plenty of other games that i can set the controls to that are much better than this.

Much potential
So this game it a tough nut to crack. At the surface and outset, this game has a lot of positives working in its favor. There are literally 26 different potential endings/outcomes that this game offers, and your goal is essentially to discover (via trial & error where your character literally learns lessons along the way) the true ending. Each playthrough should not take more than about 30-45 minutes, making this trial & error process not feel overly cumbersome. The combat is smooth and has some characteristics that are actually similar to the excellent Batman Arkham series. And finally, the narrator has both character and some occasional witty sarcasm. So, where is the problem, you might ask? Well, with all of this good the game falls virtually flat before you know it. As your character levels, you quickly outpace your enemies to a point where your levels eventually cease to have any meaning. What's more, there is a terrible lack of variety of enemies to both keep things interesting and make the necessity for substantially increased powers via continued leveling (there are only 5-6 different enemy types in the entire game). You also have the ability to increase the power of 4 different swords, but these are maxed at level two and you barely notice the difference when you do level them. And finally, the levels themselves hold little variety meaning if you want to see all of the endings then you will be treading the same ground over and over again. The game starts off fun and rewarding, but quickly grinds down to an experience that leaves you wanting. With so many things done well, you are left with the feeling that a little more time and energy spent on adding some depth and variety to this game would have launched this to an absolute must play! As it stands, it has some good to offer up front that will have you wanting more, but then will quickly reach a point that simply leaves you wanting.
