Props for the atmosphere

The good thing about this game is the atmosphere the which is dark and dense and partly for the story which pushes you forward but thats all because, the actual GAME is rubbish: - controls are horrible: no keyboard shortcuts whatsoever, you can not skip the dialogs - the hero moves often in the least optimal routes which is just pure amateurism - puzzles are simply non-logical/stupid, the game is full of pixel hunting which I find boring and intellectually not worth any of my time (and yours as well I believe). Honestly: from the beginning I was using some online guide to get through all this BS and just follow the story and enjoy the atmosphere. - i really mind that the main character is pushing too much of his stance to you - story is mediocre, you know what is coming almost from the start I am glad I bought this game for the $2 otherwise I would very disappointed. PS: I believe this would be a great movie and the creators would be much better of making a movie rather than a game since they do not know how to execute it so in the end all the potential is wasted

Imaginative environments and good story

Great story telling. I really enjoyed reading log books and entries, getting to know more about the crew and what happened on the ship. The world building is great. Some details about the world are mentioned here and there. Rarely going in depth but adding to the atmosphere and often just being plain interesting. Very bleak both graphically and otherwise. It's not a cheerful game. Parts are disturbing. The puzzles aren't very hard. What makes them difficult is how sometimes you will not see an item you should pick up. Had the developers made them stand out a bit more that would have been fine but now they sometimes kind of meld with the background. That's the main issue with the game. Another issue is that it's not very entertaining as in fun. That's not a big deal though. The environments and story makes up for it. Overall it's well worth a play through if you enjoy story driven games. Be prepared for a nasty scene or two though.

It captures de vibe of old adventures

I loved the story and the atmosphere despite being a little bit cliche at some points but I'm all for it, my only negative points would be some items being extremely tiny with no highlights or anything to see them, it adds unnecessary difficulty to the puzzles and they should've maintained some criteria about the interactive icons, some objects were interactive with a little hand icon and others were interactive with the eye icon that all other objects have, but the game is excellent.

A good sci-fi horror!

I got this as a freebie, but would never have played it if it wasn't for Mandalore's review. Some elements might be hit or miss, but Stasis is an overall good game. I'm don't normally play adventure games so I got stuck sometimes and needed a guide. It wasn't that frustrating except in the few times that failing meant dying and a relatively long loading. The atmosphere is great and the PDAs writting was superb. Some of the dialog was not that great but the context clues compensated for that. With all that said, I'm definitely hyped for "Stasis: Bone Totem".

Some nice disgusting depressing stuff

Old school point-and-click isometric. I like the nods to Alien, Aliens, and Dead Space. Nice backgrounds, although being so dark sometimes I couldn't see my character when I entered the room. I think I only needed a walkthrough for a couple of parts, otherwise most solutions were pretty straightforward.(or you just kept clicking everything with everything) The atmosphere of dread and disgust was tops. Wasn't big on the cartoony look of the people with the environment being so realistic, but I'm sure that was a limitation on graphics. Plus those parts are pretty limited. LOVED the spinal surgery part, looked nice and painful! Interface could use some enhancement, as well as...any accessible settings. And as much as it breaks the immersion, a basic tutorial on how the interface works would be welcome.
