deja vu ?

for anyone who ever played x-wing or tie-fighter back in the pc era known as DOS then you will feel right at home, same controls, same...well....almost everything except now you have a neat little mission editor(not as beefy as I would like though)for making your own missions ……. KEWL!!!!!!!!!!!! yes you DO need a joystick to play this game but would you really want to play it without one? I think not. my only caveat(hope I am using that term in the correct way?) is you are stuck with the visuals you are stuck with...yes they are better than the old DOS visuals but not by much, I wish there were options for being able to toggle this sucker to the max and make it look really good, but the visuals are good enough to get the job done, bottom line is FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE best game you will ever play

i still have this game today and I'm not going to lie, you will LOVE this game from running cargo to fighting the empire this game has it all the only thing is that they got rid of multiplayer but then again hardly anyone plays anymore it anyways

Very Excited

I am extremely conflicted on purchasing this game due to the fact that i have this currently installed on my system. If you do not want to go through the headache of working around the original 16 bit installer then this is perfect. The next time I need to reinstall everything on my system I plan on popping by GOG and picking up this amazing game. I can only give 4 stars now until i know that the XWA craft pack will work.

OH. MY. GOD!!!!

I can't belive this is here! The best space sim ever! I don't know how many times I finished this game. Well, this and Warhammer: Dark Omen which, btw, I'm still waiting GOG! What's the holdup!? :) Anyway if you love Star wars and space sims its a no brainer. BUY. IT. NOW! THX GOG

the worst x-wing game

Mission design is "Protect this and that" all the time and you always get the wrong vehicle for the missions. Most missions would be perfect with a X-Wing or A-Wing but what do you get? Y- or B-Wing! For example: You should disable enemy transports because slaves need to be rescued. Your mission is to indentify the transports with the slaves and disable them with an ion cannon before they reach the planet. Sounds like a perfect mission for a B-Wing you got in the previous mission, but you get a Y-Wing and your teammates with X-Wings are too stupid to shoot the Ties. They should give the player an A-Wing and let the AI disable the transports. This is the case for most missions. Forget this game and play the first X-Wing, Tie-Fighter and Versus.
