Legendary

I played this game a long time ago in a city far far away. When I first moved to a new town this game and my xbox were all I had. Still trying to find friends I would come home after school and play the hell out of this. Now I will admit being only 10 this game was pretty hard and I did not fully appreciate it till last night (as this review is being written) I decided to bust out the old console and play this gem again. It still holds up and now I am finding myself wanting to play it more (and Kotor2) new "builds" I am finding new ways to play this game and the one after are some of my all time favorite. For all you newcomers the gameplay is kind of like Dragon age with a mass effect flair (light side dark side alignment). Its solid and although the graphics are dated you can find hd mods and stuff to make them better. This game is a 10/10 5/5 whatever! Story, gameplay replayability, difficulty its all here and will stay . BTW REVAN IS THE BEST SITH FTW Thank you to whoever is reading for taking the time to read all of this. I felt like it was something to get off my chest.

State of Art

There is something of perfection in KotOR I. Story is typical epic starwars. But the universe magic is just flooding out of screen. Quests are interesting, locations versalite, it is fun how player can aproach game in different ways. The companions are likeable. Game mechanic has some twists to make it interesting, and is easy to manage. There is this wonderfull semi open act II. Just modular design of story is great, when it feels like we have freedom even if everything is on rails, but it still dosnt matter, since story is so appealing. Even graphic is not so bad (considering the age). The only missing things are weapon mods and companion sidequests.

An amazing RPG, and the better KOTOR

KOTOR is an amazing (western) RPG, a game that took RPGs in a different direction when JRPGs were the standard. From start to finish, the game is well paced, with some excellent ideas. To me, if you're looking to only get KOTOR1 or KOTOR2, definitely pick up the first one, as KOTOR2 stumbled a little too much (unfortunately they didn't have time to finish it).

Mindboggling masterpiece

Just finished my first playthrough (Nov. 2017) - so nostalgia couldn't cloud my judgement. Knowing the developer Bioware from the Mass Effect trilogy, I took on the challenge and to tame that beast of an aging game. Never been a retro gamer myself - aside from replaying some Playstation 1/2 classics - but this game spoiled every contemporary AAA release to me. This game features the very best plot twist in video gaming history, and never before have I been immersed into a fictional setting where you can decide every single move you make. No matter your mentality or personal preferences, ethical stances etc., you will get to choose according options in the game and possibly affect relationships to other character or even alter the outcome of (sub-)plots. 50000000000000/10, would give 2857689473568234 stars were it only allowed
