Enter the fray as the Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, Wookies, Trade Federation, Gungans or Royal Naboo to determine the course of the Galactic Civil War.
Expand the battlefield with the Clone Campaigns addon. Choose to play as the breakaway Confederacy of Independent Systems or the Galactic Republic in 14 missions based around characters, vehicles and locations from Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.
Execute campaigns over land, sea, and air in single-player campaigns, skirmishes, and local multiplayer battles.
Combat arenas extend from interstellar asteroids to epic ground battles to aquatic realms.
Deploy vast armies-up to 200 units per side - that can include Bounty Hunters, Jedi, Droids™, Wookiee Kat tanks and much more.
Manage resources and upgradeable technology into your strategy, such as Wookie ingenuity, advanced Gungan biotechnology and Jedi stamina.
Create custom single or multiplayer campaigns featuring virtually any Star Wars units and settings with the Scenario Editor.
Personally I think that it's the best use of the AoE2 mechanics, at least that I encountered. Though little more than a mod (if you can call a complete graphical and faction overhaul that), it can be a lot of fun, especially when playing the Empire and Trade Federation.
So why only three stars? Because, compared to other RTS games, it's just not all that good - but in my opinion, neither was Age of Empires 2. Not back in the day, and especially not in today's day and age.
I still recommend this game, but just don't expect the best strategic experience of your life or anything. It's probably a must-buy for SW fans anyway.
The entire game is a reskinned AOE2, with all factions being identical exept one unit per faction, yeah that's right. The CIS and the Republic are the same. Same units with the same stats, the only difference being visual and audio.
In game options are just lackluster, Audio is either on earape levels or just mute, on inbetween.
The campaign i can't speak too much for, i played the tutorial and the first half of the Naboo campaign as well as 3 missions on the Republic campaign. Neither were enjoyable experiences.
Why of all the games they had to reskinn did they choose AOE2!? without changning the base resources needed. for some reson use cut down trees and have farmer bots so you can produce clone troopers who are identical to B1 battle droids.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
