A mere lazy conversion
Units were redesigned, campaign plots were rewritten and that is all. Some aspects seem odd and medieval when set in the Star Wars universe: fishing, farming, building walls... while lacking the ancient and historic charm of AoE. The ressources and the way to harvest them are more or less well 'converted' as well. On one hand, I missed some units from Star Wars, especially air units: do not expect epic space battles. On the other hand, there are many uninteresting units (ships, mechs...) and buildings. Apart from the classic rebel alliance and galactic empire, I did not enjoy playing the different races available. Not a masterpiece but at such a low price, it is worth trying. It is fun to play AoE in the Star Wars universe and it enables to wait for the AoE series here on Gog.

SWGB FINA-FREAKING-LEE!
Finally this gem is somewhere other than ebay! I have the disc and it still works just fine but I just HAD to have it from GOG. the game is amazing and if you know what you're doing you can make some amazing scenario's like my old "Rebel Escape" scenario's where 4 players were Rebels who could OP themselves with upgrades vs one player's entire Galactic Empire.

The phast awakens
I have spent days, and nights, playing this game inside out when i was a youngling. Now memories may be relived once more! The game works fine, though i still hope to see it to be made Full-HD ready some day. Nevertheless, i cannot complain about anything else, considering the fact that it's just a bargain and that it works well enough to make you re-enjoy the glorious days of past. :) DEW IT! BUY IT!

Old Times
I'm not that old, but I played this game for quite some time and I remember humming the Galactic Empire theme while I crushed the Naboo and "Rogue" Troopers. Now it's here, in GoG, and there's no way for me to pay for this. God is cruel.
