waste of money
This game had problems from the moment I downloaded it. Froze on the Main Menu, froze on game setup, worked okay (game-desktop-game whenever I did something on the pause menu and didn't acknowledge a win) for two days, and then uninstalled itself and corrupted *something* so badly I can't reinstall it again unless I do some kind of techno-heresy to my laptop. Waited too long to play (as much of a collector as a player, plus spotty internet at home) to get a refund. May as well have spent that 10 bucks on a bag of cheeseburgers, which wouldn't have stung so much.

Star Trek: Armada II from 2001 is a real gem among strategy games and one of the better licensed products. It may be old and the graphics are no longer up to date, but it runs on Windows 10 and is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the screen resolutions are no longer up to date, but perhaps there are mods for this game. One mod I can recommend is “Fleet ops”, which takes the game to a whole new level. With new mechanics and new factions. (The Dominion, for example) But you have to own the CD to play the mod. I still have a CD from back then and maybe you can buy it somewhere. But even without mods I recommend the game to all Star Trek or space strategy fans.
