It is a good game but...
The original Amiga game only occupied 1 MB and was as good as this one, which occupies 444 MB.

Fun and enjoyable !
First, let me say that i am a big fan of speedball 2:brutal deluxe. I played it extensively and eventually burned out on it. Speedball 2 HD is doing a great job of feeling like the original WITH some innovations. The gameplay is a bit different but just enough not to be weird in my opinion. The graphics are pretty good, sure they could be better and some faces are downright ugly (mustaches are terrible) but overall the great players (3, 4, 5 stars) look great (some old guys came back for this new game ^^). Overall it's really fun and provides good speedball games. My only concerns so far are some ugly faces sometimes and the lack of the original music... If you like speedball, you have to try this one, it's much better than any other game in the series that came out after the first 2.

Authentic remake!
Forget the 1 star reviews, this is the first remake of the classic original that appears to hold true to it's roots. Don't expect anything more though. This is a PC-compatible remake. Nothing more. It would have been nice to expand on the bigger - more managerial - side of the game, alas you'll find your players maxxed out on stats and dominating every game by mid-season, which is a bit of a negative. But you'll soon forget that when you're battering the opposition to oblivion and remember just how much fun the original version was. As long as you don't expect anything new here, you won't be disappointed... This IS Speedball 2. 'Nuff said.

Dont buy this
When this game came out I instanly bought it wich I regretted the game crashes at start and Im not able to play it. So this is a warning buy this at your own risk

old memories
this game was great when I played it on the game boy years ago, haven't played the remake yet. I wouldn't buy it if your looking for long hours long gaming sessions, but for something short simple and fun this game is great!
