Space Run is a «real-time spaceship construction strategy game». Space Run takes the well-known Tower Defense-style gameplay and twists it, challenging you to manage and protect a spaceship and its cargo against the hazards of deep space!

Space can be a dangerous place. You’re one of the most daring «Space Transporters», people who carry the dangerous task of transporting valuable shipments from one place to another across hazardous space. This supposedly simple task gets tricky once you add dense asteroid fields that regularly cross the space lanes, the armed-to-the-teeth pirate starfighters and spaceships all too willing to shred your ship for your cargo, as well as the other Space Transporters you are competing against!

Take on increasingly difficult missions as your reputation grows: bringing more expensive cargo to their destination will earn you credits to unlock new ship modules and upgrades that will help you survive the lethal threats of space: laser turrets, missile launchers, protection shields, thrusters, power generators... you name it! You’ll have to quickly adapt to every new situations if you wish to survive, building modules on your ship as you fly across space. The fastest you fly and reach your destination, the better your reputation, allowing you to unlock more difficult delivery missions! Space Run boasts high replay value: replay earlier missions with the new modules you unlocked in order to complete them faster and score higher... and show your friends you’re the fastest, most daring Space Transporter ever!

Memory in Space+frantic clicking :)

The Description tells you that space run is a RT-Space-Ship-Construction-Strategy game but this is not true...after 7 or 8 mission your ship need quite some micromanagment...boosting engines&shilds, redirecting weapons, repairing,...etc. Just completing a level at express is impossible later on if you don't know what's coming and how you have to place your weapons. So..you start a level..play it, restart it..try to remember what you need and the place the stuff ahead because you will be shoot to pieces if you need to think about a new ship config whils micromanaging 10 weapons, 6 engines, 3 booster,repairing,... With some kind of active pause the game would be that RT Space-Ship-...so...it's memory in Space :)

could have been so much better

i like the idea for this game but not the final result. the idea is that you transport cargo from one place to another but before each journey you load up your ship with rockets, shields etc to fend off whatever threats lie in wait along the way. problem is, this loading up occurrs during the journey which, coupled with the lack of a pause function, makes the whole process unnecessarily rushed. perhaps some players don t mind but personally i find it spoils what would otherwise be a good little game. for me, the perfect td style game (which this is) contrasts leisurely placement of assets with frantic action not just frantic action!

Great take on TD

A brilliant twist for the tower defense genre. Fun, challenging, but not too hard. Great graphics, good voice acting, too. The script can be a bit cheesy, but at least they're trying for humor and there are a few good jokes mixed in. Best TD game I've played since Defense Grid. Surprisingly high production value for an indie game.

Great TD-like game

I was looking for a nice casual TD game. It's unfortunate that after a couple of missions the game descends into micro-management and frustrating gameplay. Other than that, it's great.

Charming game

I had quite a bit of fun with this game. It is a kind of tower-defense game, but with an interesting twist. You play as an cosmic delivery man taking various kinds of cargo to destinations on behalf of clients. In a nutshell, you have to configure the cargo on board, load-out the right weapons at the right time, and get to your destination as quickly as possible. There is a rock-paper-scissor quality to the fighting, and you'll quickly learn which weapons to build in respond to which threats. There are 30 missions in all, and some of the later missions can be a bit tough, but not too frustrating. Your pilot doesn't really level-up in a RPG sort of way, but instead earns credits to pay for better weapons, shields, etc. There's a real feeling of achievement in navigating your ship safely to its destination, especially if all of the cargo is intact and you arrive early. There aren't many flaws in the game, but there are a few. Some of the missions will require quite a few tries to complete, especially if you are shooting for 4 or 5 stars. Also, there is not much room for error in load-outs, since some weapons are simply not effective against some enemies. Unfortunately, there is little replay value here, but the 30 missions do offer a good deal of value. The graphics are okay for this type of game, and the characters can be humorous. This is easily worth $10 or so for those interested in a tower-defense game with a unique twist.
