Been playing this game occasionally since I was a kid, it is awesome. The graphics are lovely, soundtrack is really good, and the progression fits my play style. It gets pretty grindy after you get all slimes, specially if you still don't have a drone to do basic stuff for you. So my advice would be to make drones as fast as you can (it's hard to predict the plort market, collect food from farms, feed slimes, collect plorts and play the minigames at the same time). Unless you already love the game like me, wait for a sale (seems like the game is on sale very often), because it's grindy aspects may not match every player taste (specially the minigames provided by Ogden Ortiz and Mochi Miles). The game performs poorly on weak hardware, I'm running the Linux version on my integrated Iris Xe (i5-1235U), not a powerful GPU/CPU but should get the job well done for a game of this caliber, however it does not, I play at the lowest preset possible to get a good framerate and it's fine because I don't care about the graphics, but you may. Also, the game looks gorgeous on max graphics (nothing like a AAA, but it's cute and beauty enough for an indie game). If you like Slime Rancher after your first run, it can give you a lot of replays as you almost never get to experience everything in one run, the game supports various kinds of play styles and if you really like the game in the first run you'll be soon looking to replay it, but this time taking the plort market, story, rancher trades, minigames, or everything I said in count. Leaving 4 stars because the free DLCs are not available on GOG, despite being available in every other store (nonsense). The DLCs are not very important, but as the game relies on constant content (stuff to do, get, unlock, etc...), the DLCs may give your ranch a last breath. If it's your style, it's a must-have.
