Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri™ Planetary Pack

GOG obviously realized that Alien Crossfire was one of the worst expansions ever released to ruin a good game. So they kept it off their beautiful servers. Do you really want to play Alien Crossfire? What is wrong with you? Don't play Alien Crossfire. It's really bad, like seriously, incredibly, unbelievably bad. Oh, and Alpha Centauri is amazing and likely the best 4X title made, so just buy this and forget Alien Crossfire ever existed, because in a perfect world, there would never have been an Alien Crossfire.

This was the game that made me sign up for GOG and now I come back after a life-enforced gaming hiatus to find that the game is no longer compatible with Mac computers - I can't afford multiple PCs and need this one for my work and this was a simple joy I used to have on my machine that is suddenly no longer playable. I'm hurt guys, really.

if you wanna sell this properly then there should be its add-ons included like alien crossfire

SMAC itself if a 5-star game easily. I couldn't begin to guess how many times I've accidentally stayed up until morning, playin "just one more turn." But this sale/implementation/download is broken. It used to work. I think when I bought it on GOG was the fourth time over the years. And the GOG version used to work beautifully. But, after a hiatus of a few years, I've got the hankering again. And my original copy would not launch. The app icon doesn't even appear and bounce in the dock. So I trashed everything, re-downloaded Galaxy, and started over from scratch. I don't know what GOG did to this title, or whether it's a bug in Galaxy or the SMAC download itself. But even with a fresh Galaxy install and a fresh SMAC download, this 100% legit purchased-from-GOG version of SMAC no longer works. If you like 4x games, SMAC is, IMO, the best of the lot. But this particular SMAC is bugged and non-functional.

I don't use titles like "greatest" for very many things. SMAC more then makes the cut. Worth every penny.
