A very specific appeal

If you have fantasized about hunkering down with a beautiful woman in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse and have a lot of sex, then this game may be for you. I say maybe because Zombie's Retreat is also a nice entry in this sub-genre. Seed of the Dead is more action focused. The action plays to Seed's favor. I recommend playing on the hard difficulty. The adrenalin rush coupled with the slight horror atmosphere induces greater urge to procreate. The word pregnancy is thrown around a lot in the game. I think by design. Alas, the game doesn't have the scope or sophistication to actually include pregnancy or babies. Probably for the best. Make no mistake. This is not a rudimentary shooter with a bit of naughtiness. This is a hardcore porn game with rudimentary but intense shooting. Some of the game over scenes where your female companion gets raped to death are quite disturbing, if imaginative. Fortunately, it's easy to avoid those scenes. I didn't even know they existed until I beat the game and the gallery unlocked. The sex scenes during gameplay are pretty ok, emphasizing bonding instead violence. It's a happy ending, except Act 8. You might consider skipping that. There are 8 acts, each with a shooting part and a 3D sex part, connected by visual novel story telling. GManLives actually did a review of this. It's worth watching if you are considering this game. It's like what other reviewers have said here, but in a fun, professional video. I'll lay out some of the good. All the dialogues except yours are voice acted, and it is good enough to help you connect with the girls, to the extent possible in a game like this. The sub is well done. The shooting parts all have unique little gimmicks. Not a lot, but enough to keep things fresh for a few hours. The first-person camera during the 3D sex scenes needs just a little zooming to work surprisingly well. The story is actually suspense for the first half of the game (but drops off to banality toward the end).

Decent FPS with H/Eroge Content

Plays like a PS2 game. OK story, somewhat competant shooting mechanics but ultimately bogged down by some invisible walls, stupid A.I and glitchy weapons. The Story is ok for a short game. The Hentai content is OK, not the best models or best detail but on par with your SFM smut that you find online. I played this one to get context on the other Seed of the Dead Game , get it on sale.

Bad. Don't buy.

It's an unpolished wave shooter with undercooked VN-elements. Don't waste your money. - Yes, I have succumbed to reviewing ecchi bait. Seed of the Dead has the air of a graduation project from a group of 3 CompSci students. There is some heart here, but this has no business being sold for money. The shooting should be the core of a game like this, but apart from the jank of it, it is repetitive, poorly animated, with generic sounds, and there is no enemy variety nor interesting systems to interact with. Hold down the left mouse until you need to reload and repeat. Run around the block for a different gun that does the same thing slightly faster. Maybe toss a grenade for the variety of it. If you ever used Ghost Mouse for RuneScape back in the day you'd probably do well here too. While the VN-elements with their full voice acting(!!) could be a saving grace, the writing is just terribly bland, but the dialogue scenes goes on forever. It's not just poor translation either as there is nothing of note no matter how deep I could squint. While the "love interests" have decent designs and "appropriate personalities" (read: the naîve bubbly one, the ice queen and the tsundere), the titilation falls apart as the ecchi is just jarring and makes little to no sense at all in context. Hit "Use" on a girl during a wave of zombies? Instant scene. Cutscene where girl gets possessed by lust? Same scene, but in a different part of the map. All with iffy levels of consent. The technical graphics are poor and the style shifts between assets, ranging from bland Yandere Sim-esq female characters to UE Asset Store slop for everything else. And the UI just an unpolished mess in its own right. This is all capped with uneven performance on a rig that manages Cyberpunk with RT without a major sweat. At least the character portraits are fine. - If this game was free on Itch I'd forgive a lot, but this is not a product worth any money. Besides for the voice actors who seem to be trying their best.

Crashes Non-Stop, Cannot Play

This game crashes non-stop, it's past the refund date, stuck with this dud now. I have Windows 11 and it won't even get past the intro story, so I cannot even get to the gameplay. I updated the game, disabled full screen optimization, still nothing. I think this game should be taken OFF the GOG store and properly retested until it is working properly. If you're looking to buy this, don't.
