i got this and undyinig in a 2-pack at best buy or walmart or something for $5 or $10 (10 years ago?) -- talk about a bargain before digital distribution redefined the word! Sanitarium blew me away with the immersive story and, considering, enjoyable artwork and setting. I look forward to revisiting this game again.

One for the ages...
Still have my original CD copy of this! I came across Sanitarium at retail - back in the day - having no idea what it was about (apart from the disturbing display copy, think I bought it at a Microcenter). At times very creepy/disturbing, fantastic graphics for it's time, and a great premise/story that only gets more bizarre as it moves along... A real classic if you enjoy this genre.

One of the most interesting games
This game will never really grow old. Its intriguing, its fun, its challenging, its also annoying to control the character as the controls are rather bad, but overall its an excellent experience, even if the graphics are kinda dated, but still work very well.

Great for beginners in the genre!
Sanitarium is a breath of fresh air for me, the puzzles are all logical and can be figured out just given enough time. It's due to this that I recommend it to people that usually doesn't play adventure games. The story is well told, and rather crazy. I never knew where it would head off to next and it kept me intrigued. The voice acting was also surprisingly decent for a title of the era.

Still Great
I played this game when it first came out and thought it was wonderful. Almost 25 years later it is still great to play. The storyline is imaginative and the puzzles are good. I admit to using a walkthru a couple of times. I did have a few times I had trouble navigating the character especially at the end game. However, it is nothing that ruins the game. If you like adventure games, this is for you. Excellent game play.
