Fun Power Fantasy With Rough Edges
Saints Row IV: Re-Elected is an open world action game that mixes crime sandbox gameplay with full superhero abilities. You can sprint faster than cars, leap across skyscrapers, and hurl energy blasts at enemies. The focus is on chaotic fun rather than realism, and in that regard it succeeds. The humor is immature and self-aware, leaning on crude jokes, parody, and absurd situations. While not subtle, it delivers a consistent comedic style that fans of over the top comedy will enjoy. Visually, the game still looks respectable in 2025. Lighting and city design help mask its age, though character models and animations clearly date the experience. Performance is generally smooth. Mission structure and pacing are weaker. Many objectives repeat and the novelty of superpowers can wear off when every challenge becomes easy to overpower. Depth and replay value are limited compared to newer open world titles. Pros: Superpowers make traversal and combat fast and entertaining Consistent immature comedy that fits the game’s tone Open world city is fun to explore with vertical freedom Visuals still hold up better than expected Cons: Mission variety is limited and becomes repetitive Humor style may not appeal to everyone Character models and animations show their age Lacks the depth of modern open world design Conclusion: Saints Row IV: Re-Elected is best seen as a chaotic, over the top power fantasy. It offers fun bursts of gameplay and a unique spin on the genre but struggles to hold attention long term.

Broken and Epic Services Garbage
I mean don't get me wrong other games do have EOS but at least they don't shove it right in your face on first setup, clearly GOG stance is NO to DRM but they seem fine with Telemetry / Spyware. . . And this really makes me think on where do I stand, it's still good that DRM is gone but still. . . Oh right and the game is just broken in comparison to the legacy, soon as i got ingame was impossible to aim with that new drunk camera it has now, it's just a new feature right? Hopefully i get a refund cause i wont support this. Edit: Just wanna add that this could be at least worked around by simply giving us the legacy version alongside the re-elected cause changing to the legacy through the beta option didn't work for me at all. Edit 2: At this point being on sale i'll just bite the bullet on this one, have to try downgrade it again see if works this time at least.
