It's a game where you can sit down a few hours a week and enjoy it. It's going to give you a game that you can sick back and just play, and not worry if your playing right or not.
Doesn't matter if the multi-player is lacking, enjoy for a single-play game light on story, heavy on action.
You have a number of options as characters, there so many items to collect and equip to your character.
Also you can look forward to a world that is large, and neat to explore.
For a few bucks you can play a game that will last more then a few hours, not many bugs left, and has tons of game play to it.
been looking to play some games similar to diablo 2 and i came across this one, I wasnt expecting much for the price however i was plesently supprised when i found that the game was not just a clone of diablo2.
There are elements within this game which are very interesting some of these are;
- Open skill trees, choose whatever tallents you want to combine them together to create interesting combinations.
- Plenty of side quests which have their own story basis and have a reason for being there, not just slaying quests or "collect 50 quail eggs".
- combat is very interesting, spells can be added together into a combo ( for example i have put a small aoe slowing spell together with a fire aoe dps spell to create a great combo for getting me out of tight spots)
- can fight on horses, for spellcasters it can be interesting for a bit ^^.
- choice of a good array of interesting classes, (not just basic DnD class sets) battlemage, vampiress etc.
So far i have played 9 hours and i am very interested and the story is interesting and doesnt go over the top like some games i have played. and the combat is still fun even though i have really only used a couple of spells because i was being stubborn... fireball doesnt work too well on a dragon ^^.
In conclusion its a very fun game, worth the price if you like diablo 2 or hack n slashes in general
I hate this game so much. Whenever I start it up, it takes me up to 6 hours to get out again! There's always something else to kill, a quest to complete, gear to buy!
I played the base version of Sacred in the past, beat this recently with a Wood Elf. After exploring every inch of the map possible and doing all the quests, I finished with 52.24% explored at 83 hours 32 minutes.
I consider this Elder Scrolls x Diablo. Instead of 4 different acts offering one base connected to a dungeon zone, Sacred is an one big world with villages and cities and dungeons. The atmosphere is great but exploring felt hugely unrewarding as there isn't really much interesting out there to find. Questing is pretty boring, there's a lot of them, there's a bit too many escort missions, and most of the rewards are runes (good but boring).
This is made worse by high enemy respawn rate as well. The enemy density is also high enough that you cannot easily sneak around them. On the bright side, it makes farming easier, but it makes traveling a pain, especially through dangerous areas. You'd want to buy a horse with a high Speed rating or boost your character's Speed stat to outrun pursuers if you want to run through zones. It's not foolproof as there are enemies who can root you in place with spells, which may lead to your death if you aggroed too many things along the way.
There's also some annoying bugs. There's at least three quest bugs that will prevent other quests from being completed if you do the wrong thing at the wrong time. My quest log was also missing completely when importing my character into Underworld. It happens even if I use the Demon and Dwarf characters provided with the game by default.
I don't regret purchasing it, but I got it on sale and I did know what I was getting myself into. It's hard to recommend in general, but it has a pretty unique feel to it. I rated it a 3/5, docked to a 2/5 mainly for the bugs and how I felt my time was wasted wandering their huge maps for little reward. If you intend to try this, read a guide to understand the mechanics of character building, and don't waste your time exploring every inch of the map.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
