I played sacred 1 a couple of times and liked it. I was a bit disappointed with this title and forced myself a little to finish it. My concerns were:
a) no engine optimisation; all Blizzard games run smooth on my PC while i had to play this on minimum settings
b) bug with dissapearing interface
c) i hate new uninspiring classes - robocop instead of dwarf and no vampire
d) this is rather for online play and nothing memorable on solo in it.
Nevertheless i belive that fans will play it anyway.
Excited to replay this and shocked to discover it's as much a nigh dysfunctional game as the original. The disappearing map and UI issue is there, random crashes every few minutes.
I had hoped a GoG release of all things would've kept this in mind, but after trying the game across three computers i'm convinced it's not me - the game is a buggy mess!
Sadly there are too many annoying bugs even with the community patch installed. It plays more like a singleplayer mmo: generic quests and lots of walking. Gameplay mechanics seem deep but don't keep you challenged.
I like this game. But I need to give negative review due to several major issues in the game.
1. Text/Font
When using higher resolution, the text is very small and hard to read.
There's tweak that editing file game to changing the font type... I try it and the text is become readable , but yet still too small.
2. Camera
Camera is so annoying.
I already try add a custom camera option, playing with those camera slider, nothing seems to work for me. I don't like the camera.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
