High speed cyberpunk slaughter

It's a game that can draw you in immediately, the art style, the fast paced combat, that absolutely killer soundtrack. There's a hell of a lot of world building that really makes you wish there was some more to it, that you got to dig in deeper. Likewise, a lot of characters are introduced that you just don't get to interact with much and it doesn't go much of anywhere. In particular the end of the game feels very rushed, plot lines are very quickly introduced and brought to a conclusion. Don't come in expecting 2077. The combat gets very intense, weapons are plentiful, management of all your abilities becomes paramount to survival. All your skillpoints can be refunded and respent for free at all times so you are never locked into any particular build or play style. So if your current build struggles on an encounter just change it up. On the flipside, being able to and encouraged to respec for encounters takes away the feeling of having a unique build. I'm entirely happy that I played through it, and have no reservations suggesting picking it up.

Fun top-down shooter

Only 4 hours and feels a bit padded towards the end, but the game-play is good and it's certainly stylish. Probably will play a few more runs through it.

Broken

My PC is beyond the recommended specs for the game so I decided to play it on max settings, all went smoothly, until I got to the end of the creepers' stage, game crashed with an error "Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost", I read about it and tried to do some troubleshootingg, updating my drivers, reinstalling the game, using MSI afterburner to lower the GPU clockspeed, I even tried playing on minimun graphical settings, none of it works, the game keeps crashing during that boss fight, a shame, I was having fun

One Sick Puppy

Ruiner is a very fun, brutal twin-stick shooter, with just the perfect mix of style and substance I've come to expect from a game published by Devolver Digital. The music, as allways, fits the action and theme of the game very nicely, and the main character is absolutely great. The way every battle seamlessly leads into a short score-count and on to the next area is just grand, and the unlock trees are very rewarding. I highly suggest this game.

Excellent game just... excellent.

Well as the title says... this game is well polished, has a great story and is so full of action that it is almost too intense, for me at least. The only small problem I have and I hope the devs see this if not address it, is that at some instances droped karma and skill points from enemies would fall from the floor and in to the "abyss" and were just lost. It didn't happen very often and it wasn't such big of a deal, but I think it's worth mensioning.
