Amazingly engaging
"Roadwarden" may be technically closer to an illustrated text-based Interactive Fiction game than to a CRPG. Yet, its top-notch - if copious - writing fills it with such a role-playing quality that you may wish more CRPGs be written that brilliantly. What pleases me most in it is the way the multi-layered, sometimes intricated quests reward you with a better, deeper understanding of what you're dealing with - geography, lore, web of intrigue, conflicts and dark secrets. It's all about questing and exploring at its best, even improved by the constraints the background brings (limited time and dangerous nights). As other have written before, the replay value is significant, and welcome too, since it's unlikely you can solve in one playthrough all the mysteries and objectives Roadwarden offers. Now, with my attention durably brought to the past and future games from Moral Anxiety Studio, there's only one request I'd like to bring to their consideration: localization. I acknowledge the devs' website states they have no plans to translate this game in non-English languages. However, I think reconsidering that choice would be a huge improvement for immersion - especially in the parts where the player must *type* their answers with words. Please, think about it.
