For years Toy-Volt had been producing games and toys for children all over the world. Within months of introducing their first products they shot to the top of their trade.
However, it appears that the products have gained minds of their own. Escaping from the shelves that held them prisoners they have entered the real world, and are now creating chaos as they enjoy their new found freedom... the Toy-volt R/C cars have Re-Volted!
Re-Volt lets you guide one of 28 remote control cars through insane race tracks set in unusual environments. Since the cars are the size of real remote control vehicles, objects found around the track are bigger than life. Curbs become huge walls, toys are obstacles, and everything is fair game to drive on, through, or over.
There are 13 different tracks spread throughout four Cups, including races set in museums, supermarkets, and settings which may look like your own neighborhood.
I used to play this game with friends in internet cafe and at home in lan parties.
I searched for it a while ago on gog and didn't found it.

PS:
Avast Antivirus (CyberCapture) scans it and sees it as a threat, giving this error:
"The instruction at 0x0000000028002417 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. The memory could not be read."
Looks like a memory leak.
Acclaim was up to something with this one. It's actually a quite simple game, which has even seen a good smartphone port. Hopefully with the appearance in GOG we'll see new air in its modding community.
The main drawback is the lack of difficulty. You can polish off the game in your sleep.
I normally don't do reviews, but this one is an exception.
You start with a few basic cars & tracks, the rest need to be unlocked by winning trophies. It sounds easier as it is, as the track is "littered" with lightning bolts, which grants you a random weapon that you can use to take out the opposition, but they'll try do precisely the same to you.
The Graphics has not really dated that much, but the soundtrack isn't anything noteworthy.
Gameply do have a small negativity to it, as the steering do tend to be fidgety at times. And some of the track layouts do make it difficult to perform a clean lap
No matter what video setting i set, framerate is slow (20fps) and makes the game unplayable.
I also tried to force vsync off in the gpu drivers (the in-game option is greyed out), no dice.
The game itself was super funny, i've enjoyed it so much when i was a kid.
