Resident Evil 3

This is a great pc port of sunch a beloved installment in one of the greatest survival horror franchises!

The game itself i'ts good but trying it to recognice and configure controllers is awfull, most times than not you are gonna have to install a third party app to solve it because the developer doesn't update the game.

Good parts: - Works on modern systems. - Works with modern controllers. - Easy install. - Skip doors (loading screen) - Uncut (hospital zombie head fall off) Bad parts (atm of this review) - Some random slow downs - Minor bugs not gamebreaking but , hoping for a patch.

The game is virtually unplayable with the Dualsense controller. X and triangle start off backwards, and then if you try to remap the controls, "add key" just auto-fills to "movement X". My controller doesn't have stick drift as it works fine on my PS5 and even in this game the character model isn't moving on her own. Please fix the controls, until then it's a waste of money.

Nemesis is terribly unbalanced. He has a few attacks, but uses only one: Grabbing Jill by the neck. when he does this, he can do two things: 1. kill you immediately 2. Throw you. When he throws you, Jill stays on the ground for a while trying to get up. You can press the action button repeatedly to try to speed up the process. After Nemesis throws you, he heads in your direction. At this point, two things can happen: 1. Nemesis can collide with objects in the scenery, causing a bug and it can't catch you, so you're free to continue the fight. 2. If he manages to catch you, he grabs you by the neck again, repeating the process, going back to the two initial possibilities. Apparently, the chance of him killing you instantly the second time you are caught is greater each time you survive. The game has no checkpoints, and no “Continue” screen. Each time you die you have to load your savefile in the main menu, save the ink ribbon in the item box, reorganize your inventory and return to combat. It's worth remembering that the game has a dodge mechanic, but it doesn't work well. Even when you manage to dodge correctly, the combat location can be too tight for dodging, causing you to get caught anyway. Although there are numerous battles against him, you can complete the game by defeating Nemesis 4 times. Most of the fights with him are optional. You can run away, or choose not to fight in the “Live Selections” moments. In other words, he's designed to be a challenging but defeatable enemy. You even get GREAT rewards for defeating him. This is the game's biggest problem: because of poorly programmed combat, the game loses a lot of its solidity and quality. Everything else in the game is excellent, but this problem is too serious to overlook. 4/10.
