Lost potential
it's really sad because the idea and execution was great for this game. It got me also as intrigued and addicted as papers, please but fell short due too having a lack-luster ending and which ever you get really changes nothing but the text under the end picture. I wish they had the multiple and detailed endings like papers. please because as of now this game has zero replay-ability.

Mysterious, fun, then tedious in 2 hours
I swear, it's almost like I was trolled. I made my profile, had fun with the silliness and jokes, was surprised at the sudden gains and losses, and then... I began noticing the gimmicks. It may take some people more or less time to stumble upon them, but once you do, all the mystery of the game disappears and you're just going through motions. I mean, I guess it is like Social Media? Always accept friend requests. Always read private messages right away. Don't spend points replying until the game tells you that someone needs one. Always choose the first choice in Private Messages as that will always give the greatest outcome. Advancing in your career is really only important for one of the endings, and in fact, the higher up you go the less coworkers you have (you get clout with your coworkers when you work your shift). Although it boasts multiple endings, all endings use the same still graphic and a SINGLE sentence detailing your ending. It's not about the ending, afterall, it's about the journey! Keep telling yourself that. It's a sloppy and lazily-written game that rides on a fantastic concept.

Not the good kind of timewaster...
Title says it all. This game has a lot of potential to be fun, but it needs a lot of love from the Devs. I enjoyed my play time in this game at first, but so many things are so random and buggy that it ends up becoming frustrating instead. I like to play games that are fun, not frustrating. The worst part is putting so much time into this and only to find that it is completely meaningly because of the random events that occur. :( Nope/5

Disappointing
For $20.00 I was expecting something better than this. The artwork and UI isn't of the quality I would expect from a $20.00 game and the gameplay isn't captivating enough to cover. This game is basically a Facebook sim set in a space context. You have objects to fulfill such as developing relationships with NPCs and raising stats. You develop relationships by "liking" posts and interacting with NPCs via Spacebook (the game's Facebook simulator).

I finished one playthrough, that's all I could manage. It's not a good game, it's not a bad game. It's just really average. There are some good concepts and ideas here, but I'd rather have The Sims in Space than this knock-off. Yes, there is heavy time management but it just serves to frustrate the player. You only get 4 actions on weekdays, 6 on weekends and you generally have way more people than action points. People end up resenting you if you focus on your job/your S.O. instead of them. There is some difficulty tweaking, so you can tailor your experience, but once you get through it, there is little reason to come back to it. There are several paths to the goal, but only one is the easiest. I tried doing a second playthrough, but my interest really waned after finishing the first time. There is enjoyment to be had here, but it becomes shallow and repetitive after a while. The artificial barriers, such as the time limit, keep Redshirt from reaching its potential. I'd like to see this in a different form. FInally, no, it's not worth $20. You can get a weekend out of this and maybe a replay or two, if you're bored.
