Red Faction

Did someone tell the devs that enemies that run around are not fun? And they made them incredible bullet sponges too - the guards in undercover levels take 3! hits to the head and 3 MAGAZINES to the body from the pistol. I like everything about the game otherwise, it's just not fun to actually play

I've a good time playing and finishing this game.

I'd heard of this game when it came out, and there was a lot of hype made over the "destructible environment", which sounded cool, but I never ended up playing it. Wow, do I ever regret it! Graphically I'd put Red Faction a little above Half-Life. The FPS action is nearly as good as Half-Life, and surprisingly the ship combat is almost as good as Descent, which I also really liked. Overall, this is a great game that still plays well today. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could, but I can't, so I'll round up and give it 5/5!
