Opis
In Rayman’s world, nature and people live together in peace. One day, the evil Mr. Dark defeats Betilla, the Fairy, and steals the Great Protoon, the provider of harmony and balance. The Electoons who used to gravitate towards it lose their natural stability and scatter all over the world. Strange phenomena begin to occur: freaks and hostile characters appear, capturing every Electoon they can find! The disappearance of the Great Protoon also neutralized all of Betilla’s powers, and she needs time to regenerate before she can help in any way. They definitely need a hero to save them, and it looks like you’re it. It’s now up to Rayman and you to rescue the world.

Too hard for the sake of being hard.
I've played all Rayman games before (except the party ones) so I decided to try this one and I think the difficulty bar is set way too high. I've been playing many hard games, but it isn't rewarding in this one.

great game
rayman the classic. it's a nice 2d platformer. the soundtrack is good although most of the music in the game is cut off. and the intro. there is a file that comes with the game so you can hear and watch the music and intro. if you really don't care about the soundtrack then it's a must buy.

Great, demanding, colorful 2D platformer
Great 2D platformer. Very colorful, cartoonish, non-sensical universe but at the same time very demanding. Difficulty is fairly high but not insuperable and always fair: just keep cool, stay patient and you will get there. Level design is very well thought. Great music, and this GOG version has the music working straight out of the box. One bad thing that you need to know from the start, and which the game doesn"t tell you: finding all 6 cages of each and every level is MANDATORY to finish the game! I am removing one star for that, because it is just annoying to face an inflexible requirement like that (they could have requested 80% cages intead of 100%). Some of them are very tricky to find, so you will most likely have to search online for their location... And find out that the latter may vary depending on the game release! Pro tip: as soon as you get the fist, hanging, grabbing, helicopter powers, discipline yourself to find all cages in new and past levels. You'll have more fun this way :)
