The GOAT
RT2 is the best railroad management game to date. The charm of this game’s art style is unmatched, and the mechanics and overall pacing make it feel as captivating as ever — something modern games simply fail to achieve. Today’s games often fall prey to misguided or poorly executed ideas of modernization and accessibility, which strip away much of their appeal. RT2 is by no means a complex game and is, in fact, simpler than newer titles. Yet, it remains a masterpiece that knows precisely which mechanics create an engaging and enjoyable experience.
