Funny, Intelligent, Creative

Have played though this game twice, once 5 years ago and then again recently. This game is a bit nostalgic to me. It has the 3D feel of a game like Conker's Bad Fur Day and is equally funny (and smarter). You'll really root for your character Raz, as he is a perfect underdog hero. This game is incredibly smart without seeming snooty. If you are the kind of gamer who likes cult classic movies, genre fiction (like sci fi and mysteries) and unabased creativity, you'll certainly be charmed by this game. It's a real gem.

Became one of my favorites

I first found out about this game aaages ago on i think it was X-Play or Cheat. back when G4 was on. and good. thought to myself "this game looks pretty good, but i wil probably never get around to playing it." fast forward several years. my friend is talking about how good this game is and was dissappointed at how we are never gonna see psychonauts 2, so i pick it up on steam (before i knew about gog) and i was not disappointed. when i found out Mr. Schaffer was crowd funding Psychonauts 2 on Fig, i immediately got on that, picking the reward that got me the game, free digital copies of the first game, soundtracks for both, and concept art for the sequel (they called that tier "I am the Milkman", in reference to what i thought was one of the most memorable levels in the game). I recently also picked it up on the PS4's digital port too. this game is so good, i bought it technically 3 times, and is worth every penny! pros: -Tight Controls (it's a 3d platformer, so a controller is recommended, but not required) -so many collectables -good story -great voice acting -great humor -Memorable levels -great music Cons: -some bugs here and there (few and far between) -graphics have not aged very well (minor nitpick) -PC version you need to run in compatibility mode for i think... windows 2000? (took me a while to figure that out, but once you get it, it's fine)

JUST GET IT AND DON'T BE A FOOL!

I brought this game a few years back and you won't believe the amount of times I've completed the game in that time. I just keep going back to it. The visual colours, the music, the sounds and Raz... You can't help but love him. I'm not going to get into all the details so in a nut shell its a 3rd person, controls are a bit nuts but fun where you basically run around in people's psychedelic minds! If you want a game you can just pick up and play OR sink into your chair with and spend hours lost within the story, feeling like a young teenager again lost in wacky world's of colours where nothing ever makes sense..... Then just do your self a favour and get it.... And then get the VR version too, Literally blows your mind! Oh, just to add a negative is the price. It's ludicrous it keeps getting put on sale. Definitely worth the asking price and then some.... Get it, store up with food, lock those doors, grab a few empty bottles and prepare to be lost for days.... 😍

Tons of great fun

Such was my experience with this game. Cool psychic powers, superb level design, and just a lot of imagination poured into it. The devs made something unique here, with an actual identity, a soul. Psychonauts is an experience that I would not forget, that's for sure.
