Best apocalyptic adventure game ever

I've played this game twice and frankly the second playthrough was better than the first. The story was wonderful and very well developed. The characters had depth and personality. Voice acting was top notch. I saw a review that indicated game play was easy. I did not find this to be so. I really had to think about some of the solutions and I admit I resorted to seeking hints to make some progress. If you have not played this game, buy it. You will love it. I plan to go back and try different endings. This was a very immersive game for me. I hated to get to the ending as I wanted it to continue. I just saw Wormwood is coming out with a new game, Strangeland, and it is already on my wishlist!

Wonderful game for nostalgic players

Everything fits - The characters have deep backstories and behave logical - No overgrown areas, but detailed small ones which many suprises - Challanging but understandable riddles Especially the graphic is perfect for the game, it gives you a great atmosphere. Was defenitly worth playing

Great adventure

I had two runs on this game. The first time I got very annoyed, because I had the feeling I've missed two puzzles in a row, so I stopped playing. I'm a fan of Lucas Arts adventure games and I really hate games having dead ends. So I searched on internet, but I found the game doesn't actually have dead ends: missing a puzzle only leads to one of several possible endings. I gave it a second try, this time with the proper mindset, and I found myself playing until 5:40 a.m! The story is on the same verve of Beneath the Steel Sky: the dilemma between man and machine; allthough I've found it more engaging, with more relatable characters. The puzzles are mostly fair, although a couple of them are quite far fetched, but you can always ask crispin for hints so you won't get stuck. Towards the end, I wished the game were a bit longer, since there are many locations that are only named but you could never visit. Another slightly annoying thing is that an event sometimes will make some object available in a place you've already searched. Fortunately, if you ask Crispin he will always direct you toward the correct path. Overall, a great adventure that you're going to play several times, in order to see the different endings. Highly recommended.

Fun retro adventure

I enjoyed this retro adventure. It was a bit short however. There are multiple ways to solve the various situations (not sure I even found them all) which is a nice touch. It really feels like a taste of games of old. The game played fine in WINE (for me). For some reason only an Italian download for Linux was available.
