Good not great 4X space game
This is a good real time 4x game, can be challenging but not entirely much beyond get a good strategy then grind away until the end. It lacks good victory conditions, knowledge of the tech tree, knowledge of how much buildings cost or what they do, uninspiring diplomacy. The only innovation I thought was beyond the usual crowd was the subversion and assassination of governors/leads with the espionage system. Also the AI does a good job of selecting the buildings but you control the research (or get things you don't want). Something like Galactic Civilization II with the many ways to win, special events, better diplomacy is many ways better. Not to say I wouldn't play it again because it fills a need for a fast 4x adventure (though I have to say Armada 2526 does also with better variations.
