I still have the original discs and I still play this game from time to time, one of my all time favs, my old Pentium MMX struggled to play this, but now plays on my tablet sweeet.

When I saw this box in my local, at the time, computer game store, I knew it was going to be a special experience - I loved the sound, music, gameplay, single player and multiplayer part of it and was especially enthralled by the graphical design - like any half decent Clint film, it had a rough edge to it, that just kept you tied to the screen, Modern day views are pointless when talking about a classic like this; you'll find a ton of games that looks better, plays better - not so sure about sounds better - but none of them will give you the experience it is to play a man, who retired from law enforcement, suddenly finding himself forced to dust off the old Colt and take the law into his own hands. The game is hard - very hard - if you want to play for the story, by all means play Good - but if you want to play for the experience, bite the bullet (literally) and crank it up to at least Bad. - Part of the rush is to beat it at a harder difficulty, knowing you earned your stars, pun intended :) If you like fps games or the western theme, you can't go wrong with this game - if you like both, you're in for a treat. At that price, it would be a crime not to get it.

A new sound...
This was one of the first games to use directional sound.. meaning that you'd hear a voice.. behind you.. it's not scarey, but there were more than a few times when playing it when it was new where my buddy and I swore the room had an outlaw in it. Another game worthy of a re-boot. Dated graphics are about the only thing holding it back. Great story, great voice acting. Would love to see more games in the Wild West setting.

Still a lot of fun
First off, yes there is a bug that stops the music when you enter the menu while playing. It does come back after a while or after loading a save. Outlaws is from the days when FPS' were just fun and except for the obvious (graphics) it still holds up. You run around shooting bad guys in an interesting wild west setting with some nice animations between missions and a classic wild west storyline. I can't think of anything more to say, if you like old school FPS games and old cowboy movies you'll like this.

Powrót na Dziki Zachód po latach
Kiedy byłem małym chłopcem... hej;) To o oryginalne gry było ciężko i królowały wszelkiej maści ripy, ale wiedząc jak dobrą grą jest Outlaws nigdy jej nie skończyłem, mając nadzieje kiedyś ją znaleźć w pełnej formie. Minęło kilkanaście lat i proszę, Outlaws w pełni chwały pojawiło się na GOG. Początkowo mijąłem go, bo miałem inne zaległości z dawnych lat ale w końcu przyszedł czas na zaprowadzenie porządku w krainie bezprawia ;) + wersja gry działa bez problemów na nowym sprzęcie + graficznie, patrząc na indyki dzisiejszych czasów też daje radę + gunplay bardzo fajny + na najwyższym poziomie trudności trzeba bardzo uważać i prócz bossów przeciwnicy to nie gąbki na kule, chociaż oni sami to też nie jakiś dramat -- za co wielki plus -- mam dość poziomu truności gdzie przeciwnicy mocno biją , a gracze ledwo ledwo + animowane przerywniki + klimatyczna muzyczka + projekty plansz - brak możliwości podniesienia rozdzielczości - wejście w opcje czy to do konfiguracji czy save/load trwa za długo przez "przełączanie" między ekranami. Podsumowanie: Jeśli nie graliście to warto, jeśli graliście dawno temu i nie skończyliście tak jak ja, to też warto. Jeśli graliście i zastanawiacie się czy po latach zagrać jeszcze raz... myślę że będzie warto!
