Opis
Outcast 1.1 has been recompiled from the original source code and improved to run smoothly on today's computers.The main improvements compared to the original version are: multithreaded voxel renderer for higher performances, software bilinear filtering on polygonal meshes, part of the HUD redesigned to match higher resolutions, new high-resolution sky paintings, new launcher, native support of xbox gamepad, user-friendly controller configuration, a lot of bugs fixed and improved stability.

As part of a covert experiment, the US military deployed a probe designed to prove the existence of a parallel universe hidden from our own. Although the probe successfully entered the alternate universe and reached a planet called Adelpha, its first crucial data transmission is mysteriously cut short.
The probe's unexpected demise triggers a disastrous chain of events resulting in the creation of a black hole, one that threatens to destroy the Earth. Unless the missing probe can somehow be found and repaired, planet Earth itself is doomed.

This is the most garbage "game" I have
ever played. It looks like someone's first attempt at making a game. The graphis are horrible and within a few minutes starting giving me motion sickness. It doesn't tell you the controls, or even that the idea of crawling exists, so you just have to mash buttons and try things. During the sneaking training I got the item without being seen but it still wouldn't end, so I had to keep restarting until it says "whatever just move on". The guy who is supposed to let me out of the starting area never does. I skipped his talk when I got bored so I guess he just decided he wasn't going to open the stargate or whatever he is supposed to do.

Let's see. Dozens, hundreds even of raving rabid 5-star reviews. "Best gam eva!", "Gweatest of all time!", "woweeeewoweeeewoweeeeeeee", "amaaaaaaayzballz" etc etc etc. All posrepped to buggery. So typical of "5-star mania", "rose tinted spectacle wearing" GOG reviewers. LIES! This is SHIT! It's difficult to even startup, looks awful, controls are awful and cannot be remapped, I got stuck underwater in a tiny (but deep) stream within 30 seconds of starting and drowned. Quit. Unistalled. Good job I got this on a free offer.

Not as popular and good as Half Life
The popularity of this game cannot break the popularity of Half Life. I prefer Half Life. I wish GOG had the game instead.
